For a solo or duo we only need a standard power socket and a flat area of roughly 2 x 2 metres. A trio or band needs about 3 x 4 metres and two power points. For DJ sets we need a table of at least 1.5 metres. For outdoor villa and yacht events we ask for shade for the artists and a dry spot for the equipment.

Address and access details (gate, parking, lift for the equipment), whether the event is indoors or outdoors, the space available for the artists, whether the venue has its own PA system and mixer, any noise restrictions or sound curfew, and a contact person on site on the day.

Yes. We bring a compact PA system, microphones and mixer sized to the guest count, and stage lighting when the format calls for it. If the venue or yacht already has a suitable sound system we can plug into it and reduce the setup.

Yes. Our sax and DJ acts include music before, between and after the live sets, and for solo and duo bookings we can run a curated playlist through our own speakers during breaks so the party never goes quiet.

Some of our favourite nights have been private villa parties on Palm Jumeirah and in Emirates Hills, where a Spanish or Latin trio plays around the pool and the whole garden ends up dancing. We have also performed on yacht charters leaving from Dubai Harbour, with a saxophonist playing the sunset over the Marina skyline, and at corporate gala dinners in five-star hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Villa and house parties are what we enjoy most: the host has already chosen the concept (Spanish, Latin, Italian, Arabic, jazz or pop), the guests are relaxed and the artists can read the room and build the energy through the evening. We also love yacht charters because the short, focused sets and the setting make every song count.

LuminArt was founded in Dubai by a professional guitarist who has been performing in the UAE for years at private parties, hotels and corporate events. Working directly with clients we saw that hosts wanted one contact who could put together a complete act rather than booking musicians one by one, so we built a roster of singers, saxophonists, violinists, guitarists, DJs, dancers and magicians and now produce full entertainment programmes for villas, yachts and corporate events.

Our artists come from Spain, Latin America, Italy, Eastern Europe and the Arab world, so the influences range from Paco de Lucia and the Gipsy Kings to Buena Vista Social Club, Stan Getz and Fairuz. If we had to pick one song that always works on a Dubai dance floor it would be Bamboleo, closely followed by Volare.

Setup takes about 45 minutes for a solo or duo and 60 to 90 minutes for a band or DJ with sax. Performance times are planned around each event: typical formats are two or three sets spread over the evening for villas and corporate dinners, and shorter, more frequent sets on yacht charters. We suggest the exact plan once we know the timeline of the party.

Yes, most of our events are outdoors: villa gardens and pool decks, yacht decks and hotel terraces. We only ask for shade during daytime bookings and a covered spot for the equipment; on very hot days we may adjust set lengths to look after the artists and the instruments.

Clients absolutely have a say. Each act has a wide repertoire in its style, and we agree the mood and the must-play songs before the event. Special requests such as a first dance, a birthday song or a serenade can be prepared in advance with enough notice.

Clients most often mention the energy and the interaction with the guests, how smooth everything was with a single point of contact, and that the artists looked and sounded like a proper show rather than background music. Many bookings come from guests who saw us at a friend's party.
