This is a difficult answer as working for corporate and luxury in Hong Kong, all of my gigs are at a high level at amazing venues. It's more about the people and their reactions rather than the venue. When everyone is having a good time and giving huge reactions, that's the best gig!

It depends on the number of guests. It can range from 30 minutes to 4 hours or all day for close-up and would I arrive 30 mins early. For stage, I arrive hours early for sound check and rehearsal and my set is up to 20 minutes.
