From the soul-stirring melodies of traditional Mexican ballads to the infectious rhythms of cumbia and Balkan music, Mantequilla Tropical offers a compelling journey through world music—an ideal addition to any event or cultural celebration.
Their rich and diverse repertoire spans Cuban bolero, Balkan gypsy traditions, fado, choro, and other global influences, delivering fresh and unexpected interpretations that both engage and surprise audiences.
At the heart of the ensemble is Barbora Bacova, whose remarkable voice and trumpet playing are complemented by the intricate interplay of two accomplished guitarists, Lucas Doslunas and D.W. Pendleton, solidly grounded by the masterful cello work of Gabriel V. Soler. and Valentín de Mintmollinon on percussions.
Together, they create an atmosphere that is at once vibrant, soulful, and refined—promising an unforgettable musical experience.

Depending on the line-up you choose, the amount of assistants and the size of the venue where the event takes place, we will need more or less equipment. Access to electricity is convenient, but we can also work without in some cases.
The performance is usually semi acoustic: voices, guitar and bass amplified, percussion and brass (trumpets) acoustic.
If the event is very crowded or the venue is extremely big, we might need to amplify everything.

Yes. We can bring a nice setlist as well for your event, but we are happy if you prefer to take care of that.
The four of us are dedicated full time musicians.
An international music collective, Mantequilla Tropical was originally born in La Palma (SP).
Our paths crossed and uncrossed in different music or life projects, until the summer of 2023, where the band kicked a new start in Switzerland.
Ideal timing is to arrive two hours before the guests , set up and do the sound check.
We usually play 2 sets of 45/60 minutes with a break in the middle, but it depends on the clients' needs.
We love to perform outside, if the weather is adequate.
We are ready to adapt to our clients' needs, ensuring the creation of diverse atmospheres tailored to their preferences. Whether it's soothing background aperitif music, a listening environment featuring jazz and chanson, or lively dance music for a party, we are dedicated to providing the desired ambiance.
