Matthew was professional, adaptive and responsive from the moment we booked. He performed for our drinks reception and between our day and night reception. He called prior to the day and discussed our taste in music and any specific requests. He even planned a surprise first dance performance with my husband which involved him learning a brand new song. Matt played at our wedding last month and we cannot thank him enough for his contribution to our special day. Matt was very helpful when advising us where he should play at the venue to be of the best value for guests to view his performance and get the best sound quality.
He was professional , Friendly, well dressed and on time and chatted away to our guests creating a laid back atmostphere which is what we wanted. He also was very flexible around timings as we had to change a view things to work around the wedding plan.
He also learnt a song which be requested and smashed it out the park which was very special to me and my new wife.

Matt has a brilliant repertoire of songs, and from the moment we came across him online we knew he would be perfect, and with so many of these songs already being favourites of ours! He was responsive and professional throughout the planning and the event itself. Right from the very start Matt wanted to make our wedding day perfect, nothing was ever to much. Even when we changed one of the songs a week before the wedding! He took the time to communicate via email and a video call, he ran through the music we liked and the eras and put that in to practice on the day. His videos don't do him justice, he is a lovely person and we couldn't have asked for a nicer person. On the day he was very professional, always up for a chat and was lovely around the two children who attended. During the reception he took requests and played the most amazing music, it was upbeat and he was amazing with his loop pedal. I hired Matthew for my 50th birthday party and am so pleased that I did - he was exactly what I was looking for! I selected him on the basis of the quality that I saw on the website, and felt that he was even better in person. Being somewhat fussy, I was apprehensive about finding someone who could meet my needs, but Matthew suggested that we had a meeting before my event and we chatted through my ideas and preferences - as well as the things that I did not want! I came away feeling that he understood me and that we had connected, which was incredibly reassuring, and I was not let down on the night.
Matthew is an incredibly talented singer and guitarist - recreating songs in a way that not only reflects the original, but often putting his own twist onto them in a way that keeps them fresh and interesting. His use of the loop pedal was particularly impressive! It was of note that so many of my guests commented on how good he was - they had a great time and really got into the swing of things as he gradually turned up the tempo and got everyone dancing. In doing so, he took requests, interacted with the crowd, showed a good sense of humour and came across as a fun, friendly and approachable guy. He played a wide range of songs, all of which reflected our discussion beforehand, with a great balance between those you might expect at a party and some 'surprises' that may be less common but worked equally well - if not better!
I would definitely hire Matthew again, and would recommend him to pretty much anyone: he has a list of nearly 500 songs to choose from, and has a strict policy of not having a 'usual' setlist - instead preferring to engage in a discussion of what you'd like, so would be able to cater for all tastes - even mine! Oh my goodness. Matt is AMAZING!! We knew from the first videos we watched that he would be amazing for our wedding! We managed to go to one of his gigs before the wedding and were blown away - and so excited for him to perform on our day! He was great at chatting through stuff with us beforehand and accommodating our request for our first dance, which he learnt specially and even suggested some ways to elevate it! At we expected, Matt was incredible on the day! Both sets he played were amazing and all our guests raved about how brilliant he was. We would 100% recommend Matt again and again!

Matt was the perfect choice for our intimate wedding at The Lost Village of Dode in Kent. He arrived early, was polite, chatty and mingled with the guests perfectly. We had searched for a guitarist to play our wedding, but as we wanted one to get the party started between the day and evening do, we struggled to find one, with most having a more downbeat take on songs.
But then we found Matt and as we looked through his links on YouTube etc., his repertoire and his style, it became clear he was the guitarist for us. We reached out to Matt to talk about what we wanted from him for our day and he was very open and collaborative to our suggestions and upfront on what he provided, for how long and for how much and what he needed from us, making the whole booking process very easy. We also enquired about him learning some additional songs that were favourites of our friends and family, which he gladly obliged.
On the day he arrived and got set up promptly, smartly dressed and was amazing, with our guests commenting that he was great.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Matt for anyone, he is an amazing wedding guitarist!

We had Matt to play at our wedding. He was absolutely phenomenal. Played two songs during the ceremony, learned “Book of Love” at our request, and then played the reception. Absolutely magnificent voice. Every song was flawless and the father of the bride complained he couldn't tell people to leave him alone so he could listen.
Thank you Matt. Even when the formal garden emptied a little you could be heard loud and clear through most of the gardens. And while I wish we'd been in the garden to enjoy more of it, even off getting photos we could enjoy your unquestionable talent. Matthew played an acoustic set during our wedding reception in a beautiful open courtyard at Meols Hall. His performance was perfect for the setting and the day.
