The Story of a Saxophone
I never knew why the Marine returned to Italy.
But almost certainly, it was for love.
His name was Will Anderson. He landed in Sicily in 1943 with the U.S. 7th Army, carrying a saxophone through the uncertainty of war. In 1948, he crossed the sea again—this time guided not by duty, but by memory and the quiet pull of the heart.
Years later, that same saxophone found its way to Milan, where my grandfather acquired it and passed its voice on to me. From it came my first notes, shaped by the timeless elegance of postwar American jazz.
Just as Will once crossed the ocean carrying music instead of weapons, today refined couples begin their own journey under the same fortunate sound. An extraordinary instrument—over 80 years old and still in magnificent form—accompanies their celebration with grace, intimacy, and a sense of history meant to be shared.
This is the ongoing story of a travelling saxophone that offers, to those who can understand its mission, the gift of entertaining people during the most meaningful moments of their lives.
Whether expressing the gentle charm of a well-known melody or the thrill of a jazz improvisation, the saxophone brings a personal and recognizable touch to every performance.
Adapting the repertoire to the audience and the context is a core part of this musical approach. With every note, the goal is to captivate listeners and create memorable musical moments in any setting.
Punctuality, appropriate attire, professionalism, and flexibility in accommodating last-minute requests are all included in the service fees.

Small room for me and the loudspeaker. 4 square meters are more than enough.
I need to know if the venue is in a difficult place to reach like isle, limited traffic city centers, private villas with badge access.
Yes, sound equipment is included. Light equipment on request.
Yes.
Being a solo musicians, a free corner of 3-4 square meters is more than enough to position my speaker and myself. I only need a nearby electrical socket.
Creberg theater in Bergamo city. Many times.
My favourite event is the wedding cocktails where I can play cool jazz and pop hits creating a nice athmosphere for all the guests.
I started to play sax when I was in the secondary school. Always played with soul, rock and rythm'n blues local bands.
Sting, Michael Jackson, John Coltrane, Mozart and Bach.
Usually I am in place 30 minutes befor the performance to prepare my setup. I perform 2 x 45 minutes usually but, if some delay should occur due to external reasons, I don't mind to stay longer to make myself sure that my customers do not lack of music.
Sure yes. Preferrably asking for a shade and not in direct sunlight.
Yes, so many times I follow their requests. If is not in my standard repertory, I can look into youtube or spotify, find the backing track of the song they want and play it straight away! No problem at all.
Usually they say, in the reviews, that I am very friendly, able to read the situation and always play the right music for the audience.
Yes, even if the song is not in my repertoire or in the base playlist, I can play by ear almost everything. If the venue offers a wifi connection where is possible to connect to some backing tracks or karaoke files on youtube, I can play over them easily.
I have never asked for a written permission to my customers to be present in this list. Sorry.
