I have performed at many events , but weddings are my favourite for close up magician but being an all round entertainer I love every gig I do, from children’s parties to corporate events as Robert The Robot

I’ve been performing professionally for over 40 years with Robert’s Magical Entertainments. I started gigging in Glasgow in the early 1980s, building my reputation through local events, private parties and community performances. Over the years this developed into regular bookings for corporate events, festivals and celebrations across Glasgow and surrounding areas.

I perform as Robert the Robot, close-up magician Robert McGowan, Magic Max and Mr Bumble — offering tailored entertainment for all types of events.

• Children’s Shows (Magic Max / Mr Bumble) – Around 20–30 minutes to set up sound, props and performance area.

Yes, I’m happy to perform outdoors, weather permitting.

I regularly perform at garden parties, festivals and outdoor corporate events. A flat, stable performance area and access to shelter in case of rain are always helpful, particularly for magic equipment and sound setup.

As long as conditions are suitable, outdoor performances work very well and create a fantastic atmosphere.
