I’m Matt Barber, a professional close-up magician specialising in sleight-of-hand card magic and modern mentalism, perfect for adult audiences at weddings, corporate events, and private parties. I’ve been performing since the age of 12 and turned professional in 2021. Since then, I’ve entertained at countless events and earned over 25 five-star reviews for delivering unforgettable, high-impact magic.

As a strolling performer, I have no technical requirements.
I will have a few questions about the layout of the venue to aid with planning the perfect performance. There are however, no requirements.
I am completely self-contained and require no extra equipment.
This is not applicable to my performance.
I perform for the love of magic and every event brings something else to it. Therefore, it is very difficult to choose which events are my favourite as it is the variety that I love.
I will arrive at least 15 minutes before my scheduled start time. One of the joys of close-up magic is its flexibility, I can perform for as long as you want. As a general guide, between 2 and 3 minutes per guest at the event usually works well.
Absolutely, just so long as there is shelter from the rain. This is the UK after all!
If you have a particular favourite trick that you've seen before, please let me know and I'll see if I am able to include this into my routine for you. However, depending on a variety of factors which I cannot go into, I can never guarantee that a specific effect will be available.
