I am an experienced performer with an extensive and versatile set list and great gear. I can provide suitable sound for even larger scale events. I focus on ambience but can turn up if people want to dance. I've played around the world and currently serve Charleston, SC and surrounding areas within a 2-3 hour radius but have traveled as far as Miami for a one time event. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! I look forward to hearing from and hopefully playing for you soon!
= areas covered (up to 150 miles)
= free travel (up to 15 miles)
I can play pretty much anywhere, just need power. I've got 150ft of extension cables and everything I could possibly need!
Just need the name and address and if there are any restrictions about sound.
I provide sound and can provide lighting if needed.
Yes. I often play through without breaks, but if I need one I'll put on some background music that the client can select.
YES! At no additional cost I might add.
Best gig I've ever done is a tough one. I've done so many and it just misses so much to pick a favorite. But I'll say one of the best was playing at Johnson Hagood Stadium with my band around the time of COVID and George Floyd and getting a large group of diverse people to come together and accept each other and celebrate each other and with each other. Best venue was probably The Cloister.
I do like weddings. It's a celebration and people are with people that for the most part they like. It's a recipe for a good time.
I started gigging as a side thing to teaching kitesurfing in OBX and then drove out to LA and just went for it.
Chopin, John Mayer, Muse, Nickel Creek. Greatest song of all time is probably Grand Valse Brillante by Chopin, but there's so many incredible songs of all different kinds.
My typical setup is either a 6 speaker or 2 speaker setup depending on the performance space. 2-3 hours is typical.
Yes, I love playing outside. Acoustics are way easier and I think music just feels great in the open air. Even if the no-see-ums are out, I'm used to it.
Yes I am always happy to get requests and know what clients like. HOWEVER, I do strongly suggest that clients allow me to pull from what I know best. There are songs I have been playing for years and I know them like the back of my hand. Songs are like tools, and a tool that you've spent years familiarizing yourself with means you're really good at using that tool. Other songs might be fantastic tools, but ones I'm not as good at using. I think it's great to work in a client's absolute favorites because those are foolproof, have some other ideas about what the client likes, and then have the freedom to go where I feel is the best direction I can in the moment to moment of the live environment.
I've got a ton of reviews on The Bash and Gigsalad so check it out for yourself!
I'm not going to list clients.
I've played at just about everywhere you can play around here.
