Oriente World Music was founded in New Orleans by Cuban guitarist/composer/bandleader Eddy Balzola. He developed "Oriente" as an eclectic and authentic blend of Afro-Latin rhythms with Soul, Blues and Jazz. Elegant yet very Funky! With a wide repertoire and range of styles performed by very professional musical artists.
Depending upon the particular situation, the band's instrumentation can vary. The foundation revolves around the Trio (Guitar, Bass and Percussion) and is in itself a complete, full and powerful presentation. Additional instrumentation can include horns, etc.
Although Oriente is a concert and touring band, they have a long history of performing at festivals, casinos, cruise ships, private parties, corporate and other special events.
