We don't need a lot of space, but at least 3 x 3 meters and somewhere to store our empty cases during our stay.

We need to know directions and specifications for the venue. Availability to set up and sound check etc.

Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to let the client choose the music.

All gigs are special in their own way but some venues are more appreciated than others when it comes to hospitality and treatment. To mention a few; "Lindas Kula" in Norrköping and "Lux" in Järfälla.

We love playing at all sorts of events but parties are our favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.

The year was 2018.
The venue was a barbecue party in Gärdesta in Södermanland, Sweden. The theme was: "Bring an instrument and something to eat."

That evening, people met and played together, and then something was born that later became PartyAkademien.

After a number of name suggestions, countless rehearsals and a bunch of member changes, the concept finally landed: "Partycovers with an acoustic setup". A trio with the set-up of drums, bass, acoustic guitar and vocals.

After 6 years and over 100 gigs as a trio, there was discussion about expanding the concept with a female vocalist and in the future maybe even more instruments. The idea of being able to offer different "packages" depending on the event and budget has long been with Niko, the band's bassist and founder.

Advertisements and personal contacts led to many pleasant moments in the rehearsal room and finally the ideas became reality!

All members of PartyAkademien have different preferences and the mix comes together in the most excellent mix of songs covering many different genres.

Party Akademien is a cover band that plays a wide selection of popular songs, in the original arrangement with an acoustic arrangement, i.e. without “hard rock guitars”. In addition, we use digital drums which has made us very sought after as we can keep the volume low if desired.

PartyAkademien basically consists of three members with the lineup of drums, bass, acoustic guitar and vocals, but can be booked as different packages; duo, trio, quartet and in the future hopefully with more instruments added. What suits you best depends on your event and budget. Regardless of the lineup, lots of songs are delivered that will entice you to sing along and dance!

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 3 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 1 or 2 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

1. PartyAkademien has chosen songs that we believe will appeal to a very wide audience. There is something for (almost) all tastes. (Also see ”Songlist”

2. Our version of a song does not necessarily sound like the original as we have taken the liberty of interpreting the song to suit us.

3. People often have an idea of what songs they want, but trust us that after over 100 gigs we know roughly what works depending on the type of event.

4. When you book us, keep in mind that a 45-minute set contains 10-12 songs and if you want us to play 60 minutes, it contains a maximum of 15 songs.

5. Feel free to make requests for songs, but we reserve the right to put together a repertoire based on the song list and points 1 and 2.

6. If you have special requests for songs that are missing from the repertoire, we will discuss these well in advance of the event.
