Hi! My name is Pa the Needle, and I offer all-vinyl DJ sets featuring a musical selection dedicated to the 1950s, played exclusively on original 45s.
From rockabilly to rhythm and blues, doo-wop and oldies, my sets bring the perfect vintage sound to recreate the atmosphere of the era and get the crowd dancing to jive, boogie and rock ’n’ roll.
A drummer with over ten years of experience, I’m a member of Surfin’ Claire and The Whisky Rockers, a band active on the Italian and international rockabilly scene. With this band, I’ve gained solid live experience, performing at numerous festivals and clubs.
Since 2021, I’ve also been the drummer for the blues trio King Biscuit Time, continuing to explore roots music and traditional sounds.
As a vintage enthusiast, I combine style and authenticity in both my music and my overall aesthetic.
The selection ranges from hard-to-find Italian gems such as Little Tony and His Brothers (from the early days of his career in England), Ghigo (a pioneer of rhythm and blues and rock ’n’ roll in Italy), and Peppino Di Capri, to legendary artists such as Elvis Presley (the King of Rock ’n’ Roll), Fats Domino (a true pioneer of American rhythm and blues and rock ’n’ roll), and Little Richard (the Architect of Rock ’n’ Roll).
The journey then continues with more obscure and sought-after artists such as Conway Twitty, Frankie Avalon, Eddie Daniels, and many more.

We need a performance space of at least 3 meters x 2 meters. We require 1 or 2 power sockets and 1 parking spaces."
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

We love playing at all sorts of events.
The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
We started gigging whilst at 2023 and our performances developed from there.
Since we started we’ve performed at hundreds of weddings, parties and events

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up.
We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets.
We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade (sun and vinyl NO), a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
