With decades of professional experience, Ralph Russell has performed in backing bands for legendary entertainers including Tiny Tim, Freddy Cannon, The Coasters, Bowzer of Sha Na Na, and Otis Day of Animal House fame. He has also opened for Chubby Checker at Chicago's Park West.
From classic rock and roll and rhythm and blues to jazz, pop, funk, and today's dance music, Ralph brings an extraordinary range of musical experience to every performance.
But what really sets Ralph apart is his ability to connect with an audience, improvise naturally, and turn live music into an interactive experience. Whether providing sophisticated cocktail entertainment or bringing high-energy saxophone to the dance floor alongside a DJ, Ralph knows how to make the occasion memorable.

Being a solo performer I require very little space to work from. I interact with the audience so may be roaming. I require a power outlet and can also provide a full pa setup including lights is needed. It when working with a DJ I will provide a wireless mic to connect to their pa.
I will need to know location details; outdoor or indoor, cover, when to load in and load out. Power outlet.
I provide sound and lighting if needed

One of my favorite venues has been Chicago's historic Palmer House. It's a beautiful setting for live music, but what really makes a performance memorable for me is the connection with the audience. Whether I'm creating an elegant atmosphere for cocktails or getting out among the guests with my saxophone, I love those moments when the music becomes part of the experience rather than just something happening in the background.
My favorite type of event is any event that I can interact with the audience.
I've been playing all my life but since civic I started working as a solo acct with aDj it smaller group to accommodate the restrictions at the time. I have found that this has suited me best
