Sarabanda is a professional live music ensemble based in Palermo, Sicily, specialising in weddings, private parties and corporate events throughout Sicily and across Italy.
More than a traditional fixed band, Sarabanda is a flexible collective of experienced professional musicians sharing the same carefully prepared repertoire and musical style. We usually perform as a quartet or quintet, with vocals, piano and bass at the heart of the ensemble, and can customise the line-up by adding saxophone, trumpet, violin or guitar according to the atmosphere and requirements of the event.
Our repertoire includes more than 200 songs and reflects our Italian identity: classic and contemporary Italian songwriting, timeless Italian favourites, swing and international pop, together with more upbeat music for the dancing part of the celebration.
We can provide music for different moments of your wedding, from an elegant civil ceremony and relaxed aperitif to the reception and an energetic live dance set. Our aim is to combine musical quality, elegance and genuine live performance with a warm, engaging atmosphere.
Based in Palermo, we regularly perform throughout Sicily and are also available for destination weddings and events anywhere in Italy.

We need a performance space of at least 5 meters x 5 meters. We require power sockets near the stage and 2 parking spaces.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
We can bring our own PA system to our gigs, depending on distance and circumstances: on some occation, an external service may be necessary. We do not provide lighting.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music

We love playing at all sorts of events but weddings are our favourite
We started gigging at a young age. Since we started we’ve performed at hundreds of weddings, parties and events across Italy.
Italian singers and songwriters of the '80s and the '90s, neapolitan classic songs.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We are happy to define the timing and format of our performances together with the customer, to meet their specific needs. We can also adapt the size of the formation to the specific needs of a given moment in the event, providing (for example, for a wedding) different formations for different moments.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 2 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
Previous customers would describe us both as a high energy group and a refined ensemble, since we play at different types of events, and different moments within the same event may call for a different mood. Our musical versatility sets us apart.
There is no fixed price, because every event is unique. The final cost depends on your specific needs: the duration, the venue, the packages included, and the chosen line-up (from a duo to a quintet). Since we're a modular ensemble, we put together a tailored quote together with you, ensuring the best value for money with no surprises.
Our specialty is classic Italian singer-songwriter music, but we're very versatile: we range from swing to international pop to please everyone. We have specific repertoires for every moment, from the elegance of the civil ceremony to the more upbeat moments.
We specialize in accompanying civil ceremonies (at the venue or at the town hall) with dedicated line-ups and songs to create the perfect atmosphere. We don't play in church for religious ceremonies.
We started out as a concert and elegant-entertainment band, but we know very well that a wedding also needs to be fun! That's why we always include an engaging dance set between courses. Add a sax to the base quartet to make the music livelier and more electrifying: there will be no shortage of moments to let loose.
