Sax-Id Where Sax meets Afro, Pop, Tribal House

We require a dedicated microphone channel with DI box for the saxophone, 1 monitor wedge minimum, and a follow spot or beam light on the performer during the show. Minimum performance space: 3x2 meters. SAX ID brings his own clip microphone. A soundcheck before the show is required.

We need to know the venue capacity, PA system available, whether a dedicated monitor is possible, and the stage or performance area dimensions. Please also confirm if a follow spot or beam light is available. For outdoor events, please advise on power supply points. We also need load-in time and parking access for equipment.

SAX ID provides his own professional clip microphone. Sound system, monitoring and lighting must be provided by the venue. A full technical rider is available on request.

SAX ID performs live improvisation over electronic music — no backing tracks or Spotify service is provided. For events requiring a full DJ set, we can arrange an external DJ as part of our DJ + SAX package. Please contact us to discuss.

Opening act for Eiffel 65 in Rossano, Italy — over 5,000 people in the crowd. The energy was extraordinary: walking on stage in front of that crowd as a live sax act was a defining moment. Alas Beach at Laghi di Sibari is the best venue we’ve worked — stunning outdoor setting, 3,000 people, full production with dancers and pyrotechnics. Every frame was a shot.

Danilo Perticaro graduated with honours from the Conservatorio di Cosenza and completed a Master’s degree with honours and special mention at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome. After years performing internationally in theatres and festivals across Europe and Canada, he launched SAX ID in 2023 to bring conservatory-level technique into the electronic music scene. Since then he has performed across Italy, Malta, the UK and Canada.

Black Coffee, Themba, and Enrico Sangiuliano are the main influences: artists who create tension and release it through live energy. Favorite artist: Black Coffee, for how he transformed Afro House into a global language. Best song of all time: "Mirage" by Hosh & Bedouin, a song that demonstrates how a saxophone line can carry an entire dance floor.

We arrive at the venue 2 hour before the show for soundcheck. Standard performance is 1 x 60 minutes or 2 x 45 minutes. For Roaming Sax format, 30–45 minutes in multiple passes through the crowd. Setup time is minimal — SAX ID is essentially self-contained with just his microphone.

Absolutely — outdoor and open-air venues are our natural habitat. Beach clubs, pool parties, open-air festivals and terraces are ideal settings. We require a flat surface, power supply nearby, and protection from direct rain for the instrument. Wind conditions should be considered for outdoor soundcheck.

SAX ID performs live improvisation, so there is no fixed setlist. Clients can indicate preferred genres or energy levels — Afro House, Tribal House, Pop House, Latin — and the performance will be shaped accordingly. We work closely with the venue’s DJ to ensure the performance integrates seamlessly with the overall musical direction of the night.
