About / Biography

Hi, I'm Rudolf — a professional saxophonist and DJ based in Mallorca, performing at weddings and luxury events across Mallorca, Barcelona and internationally. I bring my own DJ set, sound system and lighting, so I can cover your entire day with one booking — ceremony, cocktail hour and party.

CEREMONY

I play live sax during the key moments: bride's entrance, groom's entrance, the rings, and more. Send me your favourite songs and I'll prepare them for sax.

COCKTAIL / APERITIF

A mix of styles to suit the mood — lounge, jazz, pop, Ibiza-style house. I'll send you sample videos so you can pick exactly what you want, and I usually play through the whole cocktail hour.

PARTY

First dance, then a high-energy sax & DJ show with LED lights to keep the dance floor full until the last song. I love creating a personalised set for every couple, and I've performed at weddings and luxury events throughout Spain and abroad. Get in touch and let's talk about your day!

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I'm fully self-contained with my own PA system, microphone and lighting, so my technical needs are minimal. I just need one standard power socket near the performance area and a small space of around 2 x 2 meters to set up comfortably. For larger venues or events with over 200 guests, I'm happy to discuss additional sound coverage in advance.

What information do you require about a venue?

I just need the venue address and any access or parking directions to help me load in my equipment smoothly. It's also helpful to know in advance if there's a sound limiter, especially for outdoor venues, so I can plan my setup accordingly.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I'm completely self-contained. I bring my own PA system, microphone and a lighting rig to every event in Mallorca and Barcelona, so there's no need to hire extra equipment or coordinate with a separate sound technician.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I bring my own DJ setup and can keep the music going from Spotify before, after and between my live sax sets, so there's never a quiet moment. You're welcome to send me a playlist or specific songs you'd like, or I'm happy to choose the music myself based on the crowd and mood of the event.

Do you provide a contract and require a deposit?

Yes, once we agree on the details I'll send you a contract to confirm the booking. A 10% deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due before or on the day of the event — I'm happy to walk you through the exact terms when we spea

What do you need from the venue?

I'm fully self-contained with my own sound system, microphone and lighting. I just need a power supply near the performance area and, for outdoor events, some shade or cover if it's particularly hot or sunny.

How much space do you need to perform?

I don't need much space — a few square metres is enough for me and my equipment. For larger venues or bigger guest numbers, let me know in advance so I can bring additional sound coverage if needed.

Is your equipment safe to use indoors and outdoors?

Yes, my sound and lighting equipment is suitable for both indoor and outdoor events. For outdoor performances I check the weather and venue conditions in advance to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Some of my favourite gigs have included incredible destination weddings — the Baglioni Maldives, the W Hotel in Qatar, the W Barcelona, and a stunning wedding on Ios, Greece. But many of my best memories come from regular work in Mallorca and Barcelona too, performing at venues ranging from intimate villas to luxury hotels. Every event has its own atmosphere, and that's exactly what I love about this job — wherever it is, bringing live sax to a couple's biggest day.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love playing at all kinds of events, but weddings are definitely my favourite. There's something special about being part of a couple's biggest day, helping create those perfect moments — and seeing guests really let go and enjoy themselves on the dance floor. My job is to make sure everyone feels good, and that's what keeps me passionate about it after all these years.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I trained as a saxophonist and built my career performing live across different countries before settling into the wedding and luxury events scene. Since then I've performed at hundreds of weddings and events in Mallorca, Barcelona and internationally, and I've developed my own DJ and sax format along the way to give couples a more complete entertainment package for their day.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I started my musical journey at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, studying classical music and building a strong technical foundation before moving to saxophone. That classical background still shapes how I approach every performance — precision, dynamics, and really listening to the room. Since then I've performed at hundreds of weddings and events in Mallorca, Barcelona and internationally, developing my own DJ and sax format to give couples a more complete entertainment package for their day.

How many weddings have you performed at?

I've performed at hundreds of weddings and events across Mallorca, Barcelona, and internationally — from intimate villa ceremonies to large luxury celebrations at hotels and historic venues.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I usually arrive 30-45 minutes before the performance to set up my sound system and lighting. For wedding ceremonies I'm ready well in advance so I can play the key moments without any rush. My standard performance is 2 x 45-minute sets, but I'm flexible — whether you need a longer party set with DJ in Mallorca or Barcelona, or just a shorter ceremony and cocktail appearance, we can tailor it to fit your schedule.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I'm happy to perform outdoors — many of my wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours in Mallorca and Barcelona take place outside. I just ask for a power supply nearby and some shade or cover for the equipment if it's a particularly hot or sunny spot.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients definitely have a say. I share videos covering different styles — jazz, pop, lounge, Ibiza house — so you can pick what fits your wedding best. I'm also happy to learn specific song requests ahead of time, especially for key moments like the entrance or first dance. If you'd rather leave it to me, I'm comfortable reading the crowd and choosing the right music as the event goes on.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients often describe my performances as professional, energetic and elegant — the kind of touch that elevates a wedding without ever feeling over the top. Couples especially mention how smoothly I work alongside their other suppliers and how the saxophone brings a special atmosphere to key moments like the ceremony, first dance and high energy party.

Can you also act as a DJ for the whole reception, not just the saxophone show?

Yes — I offer a full DJ + saxophone package for weddings in Mallorca and Barcelona. I bring my own sound system and lighting, so you don't need to book a separate DJ. I play the dinner, manage the playlist throughout the evening, and step in live with the sax for special moments like the first dance or a surprise cake-cutting performance.

Why should couples choose you for their wedding?

I specialise in weddings and understand how each part of the day needs a different kind of music. I take the time to learn the couple's favourite songs, adapt my set to the venue and mood, and bring my own DJ and lighting setup so there's no need to coordinate multiple suppliers.

Do you perform solo, or can you bring other musicians/a band?

I usually perform solo with my saxophone and DJ setup, which covers ceremony, cocktail hour and party with one booking. If you'd like additional musicians, I'm also happy to collaborate with any band or musicians you bring in separately.

Can you work alongside our wedding DJ or band?

Absolutely — I regularly perform alongside other DJs and bands. I always bring my own backing tracks since some of my arrangements are written specifically for solo sax, but I'm experienced at blending in smoothly with whoever else is providing music for your day.

Do you take song requests?

Yes, I always encourage clients to send me song requests ahead of time so I can prepare them properly — especially for key moments like the entrance, first dance or cake cutting. During the party I also read the crowd and adapt the set as the night goes on.
