I stay on the West side of Edinburgh. I have been piping for over 40 years and have amassed vast experience that allows me to provide a bespoke bagpipe service tailored to meet your event requirements.
Educated at George Heriot's school in Edinburgh, he was initially taught pipes there and went for further tuition at the Army School of Pipes and Drums.
In the early 90’s, I was a member of the Drambuie Kirkliston pipe band and in 1996 joined the world famous Lothian and Borders Police pipe band, (Edinburgh City Police Pipe Band) where he was the Pipe Sergeant for several years.
I subsequently moved to the Pipeband Club (formerly The Bandclub) who are based in Sydney, competing with them in Scotland, Australia and New Zealand.
Further ties to the piping world include a long association with The Eagle Pipers' Society, based at The Scots Guards Association Club, Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh.I am the current Honorary Pipe Major of the Society.
I am a member of the Piobaireachd Society, The Solo Piping Judges Association, The Glasgow Highland Club and an honorary member of The Royal Scottish Piper’s Society in Edinburgh.
I perform at a wide variety of events and will travel throughout the UK and abroad. I can also provide additional pipers if required. My current business was established in 2014 when I retired from the Police service.
