Hi, all! I'm Seifon ('Safe-OWN'),
I'm a billingual multi-instrumentalist specialized in woodwinds, producer, and singer. I have experience performing in large swing bands, orchestras, wind bands, quartets, and - yes - with DJs. I've performed in venues such as United Palace and Brooklyn Paramount in the larger scale, as well as in many intimate studio recording and private event environments, in places like the Plaza Hotel.
I am no stranger to any genre; from lezginka to cumbia, from amapiano to raï, and from CCM to Gregorian chant. I work strongest when given opportunities to improvise, and am always open to any musical style. In addition to the aforementioned ensembles, I've also played Broadway books such as "Chicago", "All Shook Up", and "Fame", where I was granted the opportunity to play 5 different instruments in the same book.

I played at United Palace for my high school alma mater about a year after graduating. Our alumni band was so skilled, we tore that house down.
Any opportunity to be a part of a group of performers. Collaborating is all what music is about!
I busked for a year before frequently subbing-in for tenor sax players at Swing 46. From there, I branched out, working with rappers, singers, songwriters, and fellow instrumentalists to perform and produce music that best suits them, while uniquely representing my style.
My favorite artists are Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones (like PB & J), Willie Colon, Samir Loussif, and Maurice Ravel. It's hard to name which of them is my number one, but I will say that one of my favorite songs is completely unrelated to them; "El Menú", by El Gran Combo.
I typically arrive an hour before showtime and run a soundcheck with whatever gear is set for use. Depending on the venue/performance, I shoot for multiple 30-45 min sets, but I mostly follow along with for what I'm needed.
Absolutely! I love playing outside, just as long as it isn't raining.
I'm welcome to any and all. Most of my experience comes from sight-reading music on stage and improvisation. If there is a desired setlist, I do require a minimum of 10 days preparation.
My favorite description was "mature", but I'm generally received as a very passionate and energetic performer.
