La Sentinelle de la chanson We bring the forgotten pearls of the french chanson repertoire

La Sentinelle de la chanson is like a lantern, that shines light upon stories of a hundred years ago in France. Songs about life with love, sadness and joy. Real stories that happen to all of us during our stay on this world. We interpret old French songs of Mistinguett, Berthe Sylva, Charles Trenet, Josephine Baker, Edith Piaf, Fréhel and many others... We choose our repertoire very specific, with an eye for songs that are not well known but worth discovering. Here and there a song that sounds familiar in the ears of many. With her clear voice Sofie Cabooter takes you back to the French sentiment of the years '20 - '50. Accompanied by the guitarist Sam Opstaele and Pieter Morties on double bass. A young trio that has a fresh sound but with respect of the old style and charachter of this wonderfull music. Recently we have started playing with a violinist (Livio Luzzi), so we can play in duo, trio or quartet.

We have a set of 1h30m, this can be played in two parts or as you wish. We prefer to play acoustic but every place needs his own sound. This is discussuble of course, is it a small space inside? Or a big event outside? Then we can adjust this to the event itself.

For our set of 1h30m we ask a payement of 200 euros for one musician. So this can be in duo (400), trio (600) or quartet (800). We also ask our cost of transportation depending on how far it is. If you wish to amplifie the concert than this is possible (for small amplifying) for 100 euros on top of the pay for artists and transportation. If it is a big event with a large stage than we depend on you to forsee fitted amplifying. If the event is far from our homeland than we also ask a place to stay or that these costs will be payed on top of the other preveously named.
