Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We require a performance area of at least 3 meters x 2 meters, access to 2 standard power outlets (13 amp), and 1 parking space near the venue for equipment loading.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know:

The exact load-in point and access details

Whether there is a sound limiter in place (and its threshold)

If the venue provides DJ equipment or if we should bring our own

Set times, contact on-site, and any house rules in advance

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

no

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. We’re happy to:

Play music before/after sets via Spotify or USB playlists

Curate a vibe-specific warm-up or wind-down set

Or let you provide your own preferred selections

What equipment do you bring to a gig?

I typically bring a USB-compatible DJ controller, mic, and backup USBs with preloaded sets. For smaller events, I can supply a full PA and lighting setup on request. For club or festival bookings, I prefer Pioneer CDJ setup (CDJ-2000NXS or better) with a DJM mixer and XLR mic input.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of the standout gigs was hosting a packed ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) showcase—electric crowd, world-class sound system, and the energy was unreal from start to finish. Another unforgettable moment was performing at Melkweg Amsterdam, where the vibe, sound, and setting all came together perfectly.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love high-energy club nights, day festivals, and underground warehouse parties—where people truly come for the music. That said, intimate rooftop sessions and after-hours sets with proper sound systems are special too.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started out MCing at UK Garage and House events in the early 2000s and built a name from live sets and collabs with producers like Olav Basoski and Wiwek. Over time, that evolved into full DJ/MC sets across Europe, live vocal performances, and now playlist curation, sample packs, and workshops. I’ve played everything from street festivals to underground raves and corporate showcases.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Influences range from Heartless Crew and So Solid to Masters at Work, Flowdan, and Dennis Ferrer.
Favorite artist? Hard to pick one, but MJ Cole and Dam Swindle are always in rotation.
Greatest song of all time? “Gabriel” by Roy Davis Jr. ft. Peven Everett — timeless, soulful, and still hits every dancefloor.

What makes Simon Titus different from other DJs or MCs?

I bring the energy of a live performer, the flow of a skilled selector, and the voice of an original recording artist—all in one. Whether I’m hosting, DJing, or delivering vocals, it’s always about creating a moment the crowd won’t forget.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I typically arrive 60 to 90 minutes before showtime to set up and soundcheck.
For DJ/MC sets, I usually perform 2 x 60-minute sets or one extended 90–120-minute set, depending on the vibe of the event. Set lengths are flexible — I’m happy to adjust for your schedule.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Absolutely — I enjoy open-air events! All I ask is that the setup area is covered or shaded, on a flat and stable surface, with a safe power source nearby to run my gear.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Definitely. I tailor the music to suit your crowd. You’re welcome to share preferred genres, tracks, or a mood — or you can trust me to read the room and bring the right energy. I don’t use a fixed setlist unless it’s requested.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients often say my performances are high-energy, engaging, and versatile. Whether it’s a club, festival, or private event, they love how I connect with the crowd, elevate the atmosphere, and keep the dancefloor moving.

Can you adapt your set to different types of crowds?

Absolutely. Whether it’s a deep house rooftop session, a tech house club night, or a bass-heavy festival crowd, I adapt the energy, track selection, and vocal approach to fit the vibe. I read the room in real-time and keep the momentum right where it needs to be—always keeping the crowd at the centre of the experience.
