About / Biography

Hi folks,

Playing piano and singing is my life's work. I take my job very seriously whilst having as much fun as I can in the process! I've been lucky enough to play at the highest levels of the music industry, but it's the private events and solo gigs that I really enjoy doing. I take a lot of pride in my reputation as a top pianist and singer but I'm also very keen to make sure that I maintain a reputation for having good relationships with my clients. Music is a very personal thing and it doesn't work as well unless you connect with your clients and the audience. Hire me and I'll do my very best to make sure your event is as special and memorable as possible!

In addition...

One of the most exciting developments in my recent career has been live streaming. Using a full professional multi camera setup and fully mixed audio, I can stream directly to your laptop, TV or any other internet enabled device. This makes for some exciting possibilities! Imagine your own private concert to celebrate an anniversary, birthday or any other occasion. Or maybe you're having a house party and you'd like to turn it into your own virtual piano bar. Just hook your laptop up to a bluetooth speaker and away you go! Plus, it is as interactive as you want it to be. Type comments and requests directly to me instantly or just sit back and enjoy. You have the option of being on camera too; or, if you prefer, you can just keep it one way. It's a far less intrusive way to invite a musician into your home! And during these unusual times it's the perfect solution to entertaining whilst social distancing! Of course, some times you need the full live experience; and I love to do that too; but this format creates a truly unique experience. Perhaps the most exciting part for me is that I can perform to anywhere in the world at any time! To find out more about how it works; or if you're interested in booking then please get in touch. And please check out the video examples in my profile to get a taste of what it looks and sounds like...

Whatever option you choose, I hope to play for you soon!

Steve

'As a piano player, guitarist and singer, the diversity of Steve’s musical output has been wide and varied. Over the years Steve has been drafted in to play keyboards for several artists including Jamelia, Leo Sayer, Mel C, Paul Young, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Rebecca Ferguson, Corey Hart, The Overtones, Lulu, Tulisa, Nadine Coyle and many others.

As well as being a recording artist and a regular on the session scene, Steve takes great pride in his role as the gentleman of the piano bars! You can often find him on a Saturday night surrounded by groups of enthusiastic partiers!'

“I first saw Steven at a bar in Cheltenham, then met him properly at a wedding I was running back in 2013. Since then I've booked him regularly and at every opportunity; from a Sunday piano session, to a weekend night of amazing covers, several weddings, a dinner party and a Friday night bar shake up! Steven can work a crowd, command a room or play background music. To top it off his voice is incredible. He is the best pianist and vocalist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Five stars, a sheer talent, and there isn't anyone better.” - L.M Duffy, Events Coordinator
