Typically indoor locations are best for sound, but in good weather exception can be made for outdoor location. We will need two dedicated 15-20 amp circuits, and a 90-minute load-in and soundcheck window prior to doors opening to calibrate the PA to the room.

I love playing for private events, catering music to the choice of the party. My speciality is melodious music from the 70s and I love acoustic song sets.

Music tailored to the theme of the event. Ranging from old classics of Bollywood to folk songs in languages like Punjabi, Tamil and Malayalam, to semi-classical bhajans and film ghazals. Songs repertoire range from 60s to contemporary melodies. I have been gigging since 2010. Pure Indian classical music is also included in my repertoire, and I perform for private festivals and events.

Sudha's style is influenced by legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Shreya Ghoshal and she will present melodies that are both catchy and tunefully rich. The performance is usually with a live band of several musicians.

Sudha Subbaraman, a versatile singer-songwriter and music producer from the Boston area, is a dedicated student of Indian classical music with over 20 years of formal training in both Carnatic and Hindustani traditions. She is currently a disciple of Vidushi Arati Ankalikar and began her Hindustani training under the guidance of Smt. Swati Panda.

Her musical repertoire spans a wide range of genres and languages — from classical and semi-classical to Bollywood and contemporary music in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, and English. An IndianRaga Fellow alumnus since 2019, she has collaborated with musicians across the world, presenting creative original music and covers in multiple ragas.

Her original music is available on major platforms and includes works such as Kanha, Devi Dharohar, Omkar Adinaad, Saraswatheeyaamam, and her latest release Mann ke Andar in collaboration with Parveen Minocha. Sudha is known for her rich, resonant voice and expressive nuances she brings.

We normally arrive around 2 hours before the performance to set up. The music set runs anything from an hour to 3 hours, 2 hours being the average time.

I am happy to perform outside when the weather is warmer. For best acoustics and sound setup, we find that indoor works best.

Absolutely. I can cater the music theme to what the client wants for the event. I can suggest a repertoire and present that set, and take it prior requests for any special songs.
