We love performing at all kinds of events and enjoy adapting our sets to match different audiences and atmospheres. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, cultural festival, private party, or intimate gathering, we enjoy creating the right energy for the moment; from laid-back and soulful to high-energy and interactive.

Although Sur.real officially came together around 7 months ago, each member brings years of individual experience in live performance, music, and entertainment. Our backgrounds range from stage performance and cultural events to professional live singing and performing at community functions. After collaborating informally through different musical circles, we decided to join forces and create a band that blends our diverse styles and influences into one unique live experience.

Our musical influences come from a wide range of legendary artists and styles. We’ve been deeply inspired by icons like A. R. Rahman, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Yanni, Junoon, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, and Abida Parveen. Their ability to blend emotion, storytelling, spirituality, and musical innovation has heavily shaped our sound.

It’s hard to choose one favourite artist or greatest song of all time because our influences are so diverse, but we’re especially drawn to music that creates emotion and connection across generations and cultures.

We typically require around 1–1.5 hours for setup and soundcheck before the performance. In terms of performance length, we’ve done everything from shorter 1-hour sets to full 4-hour event performances depending on the occasion. We’re very flexible and happy to adjust our set times, format, and energy to best suit the client’s needs and event flow.

Clients absolutely have a say in what we play. We’re very open to song suggestions and special requests, especially when shared with us ahead of time so we can prepare them properly. We also enjoy interacting with the crowd during events and are happy to take live requests when possible . We’ll always do our best to deliver and keep the energy flowing.
