Szomorer Jungs have been adding color to the Hungarian and international music scene for over 20 years. Our current 6-member live formation has remained unchanged since 2015, and we set out from the area around Szomor to bring a great atmosphere everywhere we are invited.
We are Hungary's most booked and popular OKTOBERFEST BAND.
Our band originally began its journey as a traditional Swabian Schrammel band, but over the years we have continuously adapted to the needs of our audience. Today we can confidently say: “we play almost everything!” Alongside classic polkas, waltzes, and foxes, our repertoire also includes retro hits, popular party songs, and authentic Oktoberfest German classics – all performed with 100% live music.
Throughout our more than two decades of activity, we have taken part in numerous events and performed on stages in several countries. Currently, we proudly average 60–80 performances per year, which—let’s be honest—means a very busy weekend schedule.
Just as in the past, we warmly welcome everyone to our parties in the future as well, where a great atmosphere is not a question, but a guarantee!

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
We love playing at all sorts of events but Oktoberfests and weddings are our favourite!
We normally arrive 1,5 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 4 x 45 minutes or 4 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best."
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
