Where else can an audience hear current hits and powerful classics like songs from SIX, Hamilton, Hair, Hedwig, Pippin, Wicked!, RENT, TOMMY!, Rocky Horror, American Idiot, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jagged Little Pill, AIDA, Mamma Mia!, Jersey Boys, Tarzan, Rock of Ages and more?
A History of Success
Theatre Rock ran for over seven years and found success in theaters, performing arts centers, outdoor concerts, and Broadway. The band/show was extremely attractive to other musicians and vocalists and often included featured guests. The original outfit featured a rock band alignment of guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards setting the stage for a minimum of two tenors and one soprano up front. They dazzled audiences across the NYC-metro area with harmony, personality, and musical dexterity. After their successful run, the band went on hiatus.
A Revival: What’s The Buzz?!?!
What’s The Buzz?!?! Theatre Rock is back and better than ever with a modernized set list to enhance the classic hits Theatre Rock audiences expect. The new line-up features an accomplished mix of Broadway and rock band stars who bring their touring and performance experience together in a shared love of rock musicals. Founder and Musical Director Joe Andolino, whose MD and scoring credits are too numerous to list, reformed “the pit” and tapped Theatre Rock alum and international recording artist Eric Scott Klein to form the current vocal ensemble. The new vocal section is Eric, Broadway veteran Lawrence Street (Urinetown, Mean Girls) and the dynamic Olivia Renteria (Mean Girls). Now, they are ready to bring Theatre Rock to new heights of musicality, performance, and excitement. Get your voices warmed up, your air guitars tuned, and prepare to dance in your seats to songs you know and love, performed for you by world-class talent. What's the buzz? It's Theatre Rock!
