'The Blue Moon Band' is a five piece function/party band, playing classic foot tapping covers from the 60's to the noughties, perfect for listening and dancing, all with a touch of Soul, Funk and Jazz. The band is fronted by the fabulous soulful Ruth McGrady. We play up to 2 x 1 hour sets for functions, party's and events. We are four older ex pro or semi pro musicians who have been playing music since the 1960's and have supported some of the big names of the day and we are now backing the sweet soulful voice of the gorgeous Ruth, the four guys might not be too pretty, but we sound good. Our fee starts from £400 but if you are on a tight budget, please get in touch, let's see what we can do to help, if you have a special song you would like to hear, we will add it to our set list for you, if you give us enough time to learn it before the gig of course. The area we cover is Wiltshire and surrounding counties. We take pride in our equipment and instruments which are fully maintained & PAT tested, we also have public liability insurance.

We need a performance space of at least 5 meters x 4 meters. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets and 5 parking spaces
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to song.
