About / Biography

Castrol Brothers is an Italian band made up of five young country music enthusiasts, formed in the summer of 2023. In these two years of their career, they have had the privilege of performing at major music festivals both in Italy and abroad, winning over an international audience.

Among their most significant experiences are performances at Fiera Cavalli Verona (2023 and 2024), Voghera Country Festival (2024 e 2025), Wood and Boots Country Festival (2024 and 2025 - Rome), Craponne sur Arzon Country Festival (2024 - France) and Verzasca Country Festival (2024 - Switzerland). Furthermore, in 2024 we won the Battle of the Bands organized by the Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, which gave us the opportunity to perform at the American Independence Day celebration in front of 5000 americans.

Castrol Brothers are Nicolas Frigo (vocals/guitar), Geovanny Fongaro (fiddle/backing vocals), Elia Ferron (bass/backing vocals), Pietro Pastori (guitar), Jacopo Bidese (drums).

Our goal is to bring the authentic Nashville atmosphere blended with a contemporary sound, offering a unique experience to our audience. In our setlist, we offer a carefully crafted mix of modern songs (Luke Combs) and genre classics (Alan Jackson), a blend of danceable tracks and pure live entertainment. We also present our original songs, including the singles It’s Fire and Shivers (Ed Sheeran), released in late 2025, which have already been very well received by dancers, as well as other unreleased tracks.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We need a performance space of at least 8 x 6 meters. At least 2 parking spaces.
OUTSIDE ITALY/ISLANDS: we require a medium-high tier drum set (kick, 2 toms, 1 floor tom) with 5 stands (1 hihat, 2 crashes, 1 ride, snare), a drum throne and a drum rug.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue, the timetable for load-in and soundcheck, the right place to setup our equipment for the show. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We can provide a PA system, a sound guy and simple lightning rig ONLY in a 100 miles range from Vicenza (Italy), otherwise we will send you our tech rider with all the details.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of the best shows we've done was at the Beer Fest in Rovolon (Padova) on summer 2026, we were the only act and we had a very big stage, with a dance floor and a great PA system, there were a lot of people dancing. On of the best venue we played at was the Crossroads live club in Rome where we played for the Wood & Boots Country Festival in 2024 and 2025, the 2 sound guys were super efficient, PA was very good and everything went smooth and very fast.

What's your favourite type of event?

We love festivals and country fairs but we also had a great time at corporate events.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We started gigging during summer 2023 manly at festivals, pubs and country fairs. During 2024 we performed at festivals in France and Switzerland. In 2026 we started to play also at weddings and corporate events. Since 2024, we performed over 20 live shows per year.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We have many inspirations because we all come from different genres, but for country music we are mostly influenced by modern artists such as Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson but also old school artists like Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We usually play a 2 hours set with both cover songs (mostly) and original songs.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We can build the setlist together beforehand to match the needs of the gig (ex. more danceable songs, more pop songs, more rock songs ecc). We usually don't learn songs on request, except for very specific occasions. We will always play our originals songs.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

They usually say we have a great taste in sounds and song choices, the setlist is well balanced between danceable songs and live music moments, we have a great stage presence and we always entertain the audience no matter the location.
