The Cheers played our wedding on 4th July 2026 in Greenwich London and were fantastic. Everyone had a great time and commented how good the music was.

For us the interaction was easy in the build up to the day. Communication was clear and the band were very accommodating with music choices, learning our first dance and music schedule. When you’re organising many things is nice to work with people that are friendly and helpful.

One highlight for us was our 8 year old daughter joining the band on stage to sing love story. It was a lovely memory for her and us as a family and we a thankful to the band for allowing that impromptu moment.

In short - we would definitely recommend The Cheers for weddings and any other functions for that matter.

The band were absolutely amazing! They brought great energy throughout the evening and sounded incredible across a wide variety of songs, Everyone had a brilliant time.

Communication with Ben in the lead-up to the wedding was also excellent which made everything easy. We couldn't have been happier and would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much again.

We booked The Cheers for a birthday party in our garden this month. I specifically wanted a disco/motown vibe and definitely delivered. The sounded fantastic, got the party going but in addition they were all lovely to deal with. I would happily book them again without hesitation.

The Cheers made our magical wedding day even better!! Seeing everyone on the dance floor was just brilliant - we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band, for any function!

These guys rock, they played hit after hit and they were incredible. We spent most of the evening on the dance floor, their set list is huge and they had us all up and singing along. We opted for a 6 piece band and it was well worth it, the added musicians really filled out the sound experience. Totally recommend these guys. Even their sound check was quick, they made no fuss, no issues, turned up, rocked out and then left. We loved it! Thank you.

The Cheers played at our party on Saturday evening with a set between 8.30-9.30 and 10.00-11.00. They were FAB, with many of our guests asking how we had found such a great band. There pre-party arrangements were very easy with us being able to select a play list of our own choosing. We had the 5-piece band which was terrific. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had a great night and the band were fantastic. They have a great repertoire, excellent vibe and were super easy to communicate with before the party to arrange everything. Thank you for making our party so special! Definitely recommend.

The Cheers were amazing, I hired them for my wedding and I cannot recommend them enough.

From start to finish there communication was excellent. They spoke with the venue directly and created a stress free experience for me. They answered any question I had, and had a very handy guide to use for timings and common questions from their previous experience. They were brilliant.

The band itself is awesome, everyone at the wedding came and asked me where I found the band, they got everyone up and dancing. We had a male and female singer, both were excellent. The song choice they made, had everyone laughing, and bouncing around.

You know there brilliant when the venue asked for their details to recommend them to other couples :D

I have nothing bad to say, professional throughout, great communication and the music was just perfect. They also learnt our 1st dance song and smashed it out the park.

We needed a band to suit ages from Uni graduates to wedding guests from 30yrs ago. The Cheers were amazing, all ages are still talking about them now! We had a marquee, stage, suitable electrics and dance floor, and wow, did they made the party rock. Ben was great with communication, very professionally documented and clear about their needs which was all reassuring. We booked well in advance... and so pleased that we did as it was fantastic! If only we could have more reasons for parties.

We hired The Cheers for a joint 50th birthday party on 10th August 2024 and were super impressed with the band from the very start of communication with Ben to the very end of the party.
A big thanks to Ben for making the organisation process so easy and creating a really personable experience; and thanks to the rest of the band who were incredible and extremely talented! We got so much good feedback from everyone throughout the night and the biggest tell tale was the amount of people up dancing, smiling and having a fantastic time, so much that they didn't want the band to stop playing - the saxophonist was also a fabulous way to start the evening off - music can make or break a party and we definitely got it right by going with The Cheers!

The Cheers were absolutely incredible! We booked them for our wedding evening reception and they created such a fun atmosphere and got everyone on the dance floor. The communication we had beforehand was so helpful, they send through a questionnaire so they’ve got all the information they need and they were really helpful in advising what songs would sound best with the vocals we had chosen. Our wedding was in a marquee and we were a bit concerned about the band setting up in the same space as the wedding breakfast but we honestly barely noticed them arriving. They also paused the music and announced our cake cutting when we were running behind schedule. Would 100% recommend.

The Cheers provided exactly what we were looking for from our wedding band. We were attracted to their option of having up to three singers present and really varied repertoire. This meant that energy was really strong throughout, the increased size of the band adding to the sense of occasion and spectacle. The variety of tracks from disco, classics, rock and pop meant that there was something for everyone throughout the set. The band's experience and expertise meant that genres flowed seamlessly from one to the other. The Cheers were also very flexible both in advance of the performance and on the night. They were happy to accommodate requests for new songs in the repertoire beforehand and were also very patient as the day ran behind schedule, pushing back their start time.

Thank you performing at our wedding at Montague farm last night Sam and I LOVED the music, you were all brilliant, and the female lead singer was particularly fantastic. We loved the audience participation and all of our guests commented on how fab the music was. Thanks for making our night!

I hired The Cheers for my wedding and they were absolutely fantastic. Not only were they incredible on the day, with so much energy, exceptional performances, and friendly vibes, but they were so flexible and practical leading up to the wedding. I really appreciated how approachable and communicative Ben, the Band Manager, was and how he made me feel that we could figure out some of the practicalities as the wedding plans chopped and changed. A superb band, well organised, professional and got everyone on the dance floor every minute they performed. I would recommend to everyone and will be using The Cheers again, no doubt.

The Cheers performed at our Christmas party, they arrived on time, were very organised and gave a great performance. Particularly liked their version of American boy! Would certainly recommend them to anyone requiring a band at their event.

My husband & I booked The Cheers Function Band for our wedding on the 05/10/2023. After searching for hours and hours for a band they stood out the most as they had so many 5* reviews! And now we know why! We spoke to Ben throughout the whole process and his communication was excellent.

We booked an acoustic duo set for our welcome drinks and the quartet band + saxophone for the evening! We were super keen to have a saxophone finish after seeing this at our friend’s wedding. It was a great addition and a fantastic way to end the night.

The Cheers played at our wedding in August this year and were absolutely phenomenal from the first set to the last. They were new to the venue but you wouldn't have known. Fuss free, fantastic attitude and with the perfect amount of stage presence for a wedding. Furthermore, Ben, the band manager, was easy to contact, always engaging and friendly, and on-hand for anything we needed. I can't recommend these guys enough. Book them and you won't regret it!

The Cheers tailored our setlist by establishing which of their songs we liked/disliked etc as well as taking into account the age demographic of the wedding, and they even learnt our first dance song so they could play it live! Communication leading up to the wedding was very good, the band arrived and set up on time, and were even able to provide the background music whilst we ate, as well as use of the microphones for the speeches. The band's performance was superb and had everybody dancing and engaged. Would highly recommend The Cheers!

The Cheers performed at our Wedding in September 2022. They were so fantastic. We had a full dance floor all night. They learnt our first song perfectly and the whole evening was amazing! The organisation from the manager, Ben, was great. Our wedding had been postponed twice due to Covid and despite that Ben was so approachable and easy to deal with. I’d thoroughly recommend them.

Excellent communication throughout, arrived on time and set up quietly during dinner in a not particularly large marquee, in the middle of nowhere. Friendly and of course an excellent band, playing upbeat songs and a varied set. We have heard a lot from our guests that they thought they were great. The dancefloor was never empty!

My wife and I recently had The Cheers perform at our wedding where they smashed out banger after banger to ensure all the guests had sore feet and smiles on their faces at the end of the night. Ben’s communication from the very beginning was excellent ensuring our set list was personalised, they even learned our first dance which we greatly appreciated. Between sets they played our created playlist on Spotify which was super helpful. Their set up was swift and the brass accompaniment really took it to the next level. Cheers Band were absolutely incredible. They offer different numbers of band members to cater to different styles (trio, quintet etc...) and the whole booking process was quick and simplistic. They also provide a clear list of songs that they have in their repertoire, with the option to specifically include/exclude favourites on the night. Their performance on the day itself was fantastic. They have great energy that encouraged many people to be on the dancefloor to enjoy the evening right until the end. They also handled our father/daughter and first dances very well, introducing each one respectively. My wife and I would totally recommend. This band are amazing. They played at our wedding reception and were fantastic. Their communication and preparation prior to the event was professional, friendly and well organised. Their repertoire is broad and flexible. Their performance on the night was outstanding. We had lots of positive comments from our guests too. The band were great! The food hadn’t turned up and they were really accommodating with timings and they did an amazing version of our first dance, and we’ve had lots of people tell us how great they were. Highly recommended!

We booked The Cheers band for our wedding reception after hearing them at a friends wedding a few years back. The atmosphere the band provides is electric and keeps your guests on the dance floor the entire night, which was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Ben Thornton, the band manager, is approachable and super helpful in accommodating all your requests no matter how difficult they may be. We asked to swap one of the Dj sets for some Greek music which was no trouble for them to do. On the night the band were happy even though our food had been delayed which sadly ate into their first set of playing time. The band took this in their stride and played so amazingly to get our guests up on the dance floor for all the remaining time we had left! Absolutely incredible and I would 100% recommend them and book them again🥂🍻

The Cheers sang for us at a recent party, on a very cold night in a field! They were in fabulous voice and had everyone up and dancing to great songs. We booked The Cheers for our wedding and they were awesome!! So many guests commented on how good the band was and we had a full dance floor throughout both sets. The lead singer was fabulous! Ben, the manager, was a delight to work with. Absolutely professional and very organised which meant they could set up easily and we could get on with everything else whilst they did so. They allowed us to generate a bespoke playlist from their repertoire and even learned a new song for our first dance. Couldn’t recommend The Cheers enough and would definitely use them again.

And accommodating - we didn't start until much later than predicted but they were able to flex the timings. Great organisation by Ben in advance meant that all the logistics went very smoothly. The Cheers were absolutely incredible. We had them at our wedding at Old Greens Barn in Newdigate and they just sounded amazing. They got everyone of all ages up on their feet and i think some of our guests didn't stop the whole time. The vocalist were brilliant and we were really amazed at how many comments we had from our guests about how superb the band was. I highly recommend going for the quintet set up so you get a mix of male and female vocals. The band has a great repertoire to choose from that appeals to all ages and they put together the most perfect set list of all our favourite songs and some other greats too. Ben the band manager was faultless, from start to finish he was just amazing. So easy to speak to and communicate with, he really was a dream. It is so nice to have a supplier that knows what they are doing, can be trusted and is just so effortless. We cannot rate him enough. Thank you to all of the Cheers for really making our day so so special. We can't recommend them more highly.

Highly recommended function band! We had these guys for our wedding a few weeks ago and they were great! The dance floor was packed all evening, even after we left! They did a cover of our first dance song and it was even better than we had hoped! Better than any cover on youtube! Ben is really helpful before the day sorting out logistics and song choices.

The Cheers played at our wedding a couple of weekends ago and they were totally brilliant. They are so talented and their music choice was spot on - the dancefloor was full all night and even all our older guests were boogieing ! They were very professional to ensure all the arrangements were in place for their performance and they were very accommodating to some of our younger guests who wanted to dance during their soundcheck time. Everyone has been raving about The Cheers and how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. They really were a highlight of our day and we would definitely recommend them to other couples looking for a band for their wedding.

A year on and I am finally writing a review (sorry, I am useless at writing reviews) as I'm reminiscing about how great these guys were for my birthday last year and realised I had never done this! The Cheers are a faultless, perfect and genuinely brilliant band. My wife and I hired then for our wedding in June 2017 (this is a very late review, our apologies!). Communication from the beginning was great, payment organised easily and they were on time with literally no problems occurring. When they arrived they were polite and very pleasant, happy to adjust their sets and music to our reception evening as arranged beforehand. The music was just amazing. Having not seen them before, we were blown away by how great they were interacting with the guests and really making the place come alive. Most of our guests are very much live music people and it made for an awesome experience, everyone singing and dancing well into the late evening. Hugely recommend this band, hire them now! Thank you The Cheers! You were perfect and the memories will stay with us forever! :)

We hired the two-piece set for our University Ball and they were absolutely exquisite. Everybody loved the energy, vibe and song selection, and they were also a dream logistically- Ben replied quickly and with a really friendly manner. We saw The Cheers perform at our friend’s wedding and noticed how they had everyone on the dance floor having a good time, they had an excellent repertoire and stood out among all the weddings we attended that year (6 in total). Getting in contact, a quote and the contracts all sorted was a breeze, with no hidden fees. They were honest and upfront about what the costs would be, and in the end, they were extremely good. Ben was incredible in the run up, super organised and responsive. He really went out of his way to be accommodating and gave us such peace of mind knowing it was all in safe hands. On the day they were fantastic. Many of our friends and family told us how much they loved the evening. The Cheers had everyone up on their feet and made the it a real party we wouldn’t forget! 10/10. If you’re looking for the perfect wedding band, look no further!

We hired The Cheers for our own wedding this year and they were absolutely wonderful! So easy to deal with and on the night the music was brilliant, everyone was dancing from our 5 year old daughter through to the 'oldies'!!!! It was a great atmosphere, so much fun and really made our wedding day. The whole band were simply lovely - friendly and smiley and really accommodating to all our music requests. Highly recommend.

The band were great. The booking process was simple and they kept in touch in the lead up to my charity event. The dance floor was full as they played a good mix of music for all age groups and genres. Would highly recommend.

We love giving parties and also being guests and this band was the very best we ever experienced - they were fantastic! There were mainly two generations present around 40ish and over 70 and ALL our guests danced all evening, even an 89 year old! The atmosphere was indescribable and even the bar staff were dancing behind the bar. We left it up to the band to choose which songs, just gave them a few of our favourites from their list and that worked so well - as they clearly could read their audience. And to start with the saxophone player coming in on a solo was just brill.

The Cheers were absolutely flawless from start to finish. They played for our wedding in September and were the perfect choice. We loved that we had some control in picking the songs, they were so friendly and professional throughout booking etc and the performance just blew us away!! Incredible sound. We've been to a few weddings this year and this band blew the other function bands we'd seen out of the water. Thank you so much!!

We had The Cheers play at our wedding in April and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The band were great fun, very talented and got everyone dancing all night. They listened carefully to our song preferences and created a setlist that was perfect for our wedding style. In addition, they played our first song live which made our first dance extra special. They were professional, helpful and friendly, both in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. The communication was clear throughout and they even arrived slightly earlier so that they weren't setting up during the wedding breakfast. We had been slightly unsure about whether to hire a band as the cost is much higher than a DJ, but we have absolutely no regrets at all, and we would most definitely recommend The Cheers to others.

We organised The Cheers to play at our wedding in September 2018, and it was one of the best decisions of the day. I think there are three reasons why I would recommend them: 1. The music is great - The Cheers played a selection of oldies and new music to cater to the tastes of all our guests. We had a lot of kids and they even played some things purposefully to get them on the dance floor with their parents - a lovely touch. They are very talented musicians (with credentials!) and made everything sound great in our venue, even though they only had a short time to sound-check. We received numerous compliments that the band were excellent. They learnt our first dance perfectly and performed it exactly how we wanted. Just fantastic. 2. They are very professional - Our speeches and breakfast overran by about 45 minutes, but the band were extremely accommodating and calm about the delay. They setup extremely quickly to get us back on track and they were thoroughly proficient in breaking down at the end. They brought all their own equipment and everything looked and sounded great. 3. They were very easy to work with - Even though we didn’t meet the band until the day of the wedding, they were extremely easy and pleasant to deal with. Our main point of contact was Ben (the band manager) who was charming, quick to respond to calls and messages and very helpful. Formal arrangements were quick and professional and the entire interaction went very smoothly. Overall, the experience of hiring and hearing The Cheers was faultless. Thank you so much for rounding off our special day with fantastic entertainment.

The Cheers provided fantastic live music for our evening wedding reception. They were fun, friendly and professional. These guys were absolutely superb. We hired them for our wedding. Ben gave a personal call after I enquired, they weren’t part of an agency. Very personable and very easy to talk to. We hadn’t met them before the day and you are never sure how these things can go but they by far exceeded our expectations. They had great energy on the night, which made for an incredible evening of their live tracks. Ben also helped produce a bespoke playlist for us and played these songs when they were not playing live. They were professional and supportive throughout the whole process and our guests loved their performance on the night. Thank you so much.

Just a quick note to thank you to you and the band for all your work towards Saturday evening at Chawton Ball. You were prompt and flexible, particularly when our start timings shifted a bit! As I mentioned, there was quite a bit at stake and usual high expectations from the band – and you definitely pulled it off: the dance floor was fit to burst and everyone begged for more! Thanks for creating a playlist for us, too and patiently dealing with the quirks of working with volunteers. Overall the evening was a success (and that’s a huge relief!).

The Cheers function band were great at our wedding. Everyone loved the music and had a great time dancing. Ben was extremely professional from start to finish and was very reassuring throughout the whole process, always getting back to my email requests and offering different time slots to fit our wedding and the timings on the day. I just cannot rate these guys enough. They can really give you value for your money, and provide an excellent night. Our wedding was the third time we heard these guys play, and they stepped up their game even more. The hotel specifically mentioned how impressed they were by the quality of the band and so many guests have come back saying how great you were.The pre-information gives you plenty of options of lineup and allows you to tailor your song choice - the range of genres these guys can do is very impressive. They also know how to take a song list and use it to work the audience. That day was the best day of my life, and you guys played an important part of that. If you book these guys, you will not be disappointed!

The Cheers are a real talent and brought our night alive! Our first dance went so well that people thought we'd prepared it! The set list you'd put together was so on point and us, and the backing music was really great too - watching my bride lose it at my chemical romance and fallout boy and rock out entirely was a moment that will live on happily from the day. The Cheers played at our wedding in August 2017 and were absolutely fantastic! Brilliant performers and genuinely lovely people. The Cheers were one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Even at the booking stages they were excellent at communication and answered all of our queries, making wedding planning that bit less stressful! On the day of the wedding, we were running a little late but The Cheers were completely understanding of this and patiently and calmly waited until everything was ready for them. It was definitely a bonus to not have to rush around trying to fit perfectly to schedules and to just enjoy the day! Our first dance song was absolutely stunning. We preferred it to the original version and are keen to get an MP3 or copy of it somehow! They performed it so beautifully! The rest of the sets were also fantastic- the music was perfect for guests of all generations- everybody knew the songs and danced! The Cheers' stage presence was brilliant- they really got everybody going! Everybody was on the dance floor enjoying themselves and the band too also clearly love what they do which was a joy to see! We've honestly had so many compliments over our fantastic choice of musicians. The Cheers are wonderfully talented and cover a fantastic range of songs. Everybody absolutely loved them! Oh my goodness if I could give The Cheers 1000/10 I so would! We hired them to play an acoustic set during our welcome drinks at our wedding and the live party sets for the evening bash and they were absolutely fabulous. We were literally blown away and they were everything we hoped for and exceeded our expectations. The acoustic set was perfect jazzy modern soulful and really a wonderful backdrop to canapés and fizz. Everyone loved it and I would really recommend opting for this. It sets the day off to such a lovely start. I liased with Ben before hand and he also put together a wonderful dinner playlist. And then the party really started! The bands vocals are amazing and they really get the crowd going! So much so we actually BROKE the dance floor at the venue! Song after song after song was a belter. They were just amazing! They also managed the play list of music between sets and it was perfect. Everyone young and old was up on the dance floor. We have had so many comments about how fantastic the band were. Also I found Ben and the band so professional personable and delightful to have around on the day. Really genuine passionate people. I want to do it all again! Without a doubt The Cheers made my birthday! Every single guest commented on how brilliant they were. From the moment of enquiring about booking to packing up on Saturday, the band were so lovely. Ben just understood exactly what I wanted and the fact that they learnt my favourite song and accommodated ten of us singing the chorus was just amazing! As was the gentle encouragement to get people up and dancing The selection of music (and the comfortable volume) was just perfect! All in all I cannot recommend The Cheers highly enough! (10 / 10)
