I first witnessed The DooLallys years ago at a kind of impromptu kitchen session. I think deeply soulful is the best way to describe their mix of pipes, strings, and song - seamless switches between O'Carolanesque 18th Century rave style to sweet balladeering, along with true and loving versions of traditional Irish music tunes, all layered with a knowing hedge school poetic sensibility.
What can I say, but a truly outstanding band! I wholeheartedly recommend you attend a venue, which this band will be in attendance! Outstanding music performed by outstanding musicians!!!

Beautiful, authentic and soulful are words too small and inadequate to describe magic and atmosphere that these remarkably talented people create! Most highly recommended.
I love these guys! Such love in their music and the way they transmit one of the most fundamental human joys: to be together, strangers and friends alike, held by rhythm and sound and dancing. Go see them if you can! xx
