Aaron “Mrlab" Monroe, ( born April 6, 1989 ) is an American multi-instrumentalist, music producer, actor and entrepreneur. Raised in Jersey City, New jersey, Mrlab began building his talent, citing gospel as his foundation. With an early influence stemming from a strong christian background, he took all elements musically from the sound of the church. He began playing both the drums and keyboard at age nine at various churches and venues. As an only child, he had the time and space to build his craft professionally.
While utilizing his skills as a musician, MrLab felt there was another way to use his talent. He started a studio and worked relentlessly to learn music production of all genres of music ranging from: Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, Afro-pop and more. At the age of 19, Aaron was introduced to the music production team Soul Diggaz. While working with SoulDiggaz; he had the opportunity to meet and work with several industry professionals; including Missy Elliott.
As a result, he received his first placement with Monica's “Everything to Me “ which was nominated for a Grammy.
He also worked with artists: P.Diddy, Monica, Kelly Rowland, Sharaya J, Chris Akinyemi and many more. Now more in tune with the recording business, MrLab was given the opportunity to play drums for Elle Varner ( MBK entertainment), touring throughout the U.S. and internationally in Japan. In 2017, MrLab signed to Temple Management-which is based in Nigeria. He teamed up with his long-time artist/songwriter Chris Akinyemi and produced songs for him that were featured on MTVU, VH1.com, and MTV.com.
As of today, Aaron “MrLab” Monroe has revitalized his brand. He has ventured into other branches of entertainment by adding both acting and modeling to his repertoire.
