One of the best gigs I’ve ever performed was a large private event where I combined live trumpet with a full DJ set for the first time in front of a big audience. The reaction was incredible — people didn’t expect a live instrument to be part of a DJ performance, and that surprise factor created a very strong connection with the crowd.

I’ve had the chance to perform in a variety of venues, from intimate private events to larger stages, but I especially enjoy spaces where I can move freely between DJing and live trumpet performance, creating a dynamic and immersive experience.

I enjoy all types of events, but private parties, weddings, and high-energy corporate events are my favourites.

These environments allow me to read the crowd closely and build a musical journey in real time. The combination of DJing and live trumpet helps create unique moments that go beyond a traditional DJ set and make each event feel personal and memorable.

I started my musical career as a professional trumpet player, performing for over 20 years on different stages and musical projects.

More recently, I developed my DJ skills to create DJ TrupS, a live fusion project that combines electronic DJ sets with expressive live trumpet performance.

This evolution came naturally from my background as a musician — I wanted to bring a live, improvisational element into electronic music and create something more interactive and unique for live audiences.

Since then, I’ve been performing at private events, parties, and special occasions where I combine both worlds into a single performance.

My influences come from a mix of live music culture and groove-driven electronic sounds.

As a trumpeter, I’ve been strongly shaped by pop, funk, soul and improvisation-based music, where live expression and interaction are at the centre of the performance.

In electronic music, I’m inspired by groove-focused styles such as house, afro house and latin-influenced rhythms, where rhythm and atmosphere are more important than the individual track.

For me, music is about connection — any song that creates a real moment with the crowd is the most powerful one.

I normally arrive around 1.5 to 2 hours before the performance to set up and soundcheck properly, ensuring everything is ready and balanced for the event.

My performances are usually adapted to the event format, but typically consist of a single continuous DJ set with live trumpet performance integrated throughout, rather than fixed separated sets.

Set length is usually agreed in advance (for example 2–4 hours depending on the event), and I can adjust duration when needed to fit the flow of the occasion.

I am happy to perform outdoors as long as there are suitable conditions to protect the equipment and ensure a stable performance environment.

Ideally, I require:

A flat and stable performance area
Protection from direct rain or excessive humidity
Access to a reliable power supply close to the setup area
Basic cover or shade when in direct sun

With these conditions in place, outdoor performances work very well for my setup.

Clients are welcome to give input on the style, mood, and direction of the music.

For more specific requests, I can include selected tracks or preparation of tailored music sections, which are part of my additional services when previously agreed.

In general, I read the crowd in real time and adapt the set accordingly, blending electronic music with live trumpet improvisation. This means the performance is dynamic rather than a fixed playlist.
