Vintage | Duo & Full Band Versatile acoustic duo or full 4-piece band for weddings, parties and events

Our requirements depend on whether you are booking Vintage 2.0 or Vintage 4.0. We require a safe, level performance area with access to standard electrical power near the stage. Vintage 2.0 requires only a small performance area, while Vintage 4.0 requires additional space for the full band, drums, PA and lighting. For larger or unusual venues, we are happy to discuss requirements in advance.

We like to know the size and location of the performance area, access to electrical power, load-in and parking arrangements, and whether the venue has an existing sound or lighting system. Please also let us know about stairs, difficult load-in access, sound restrictions or any other venue requirements that could affect the performance.

Yes. Vintage 2.0 and Vintage 4.0 can provide professional sound equipment appropriate for the event. Vintage 4.0 can also provide stage lighting for dances and larger events. If the venue already provides professional production, we are happy to work with the venue or production company instead.

Yes. We can provide playlist music through our sound system before the performance and during breaks to keep the music going throughout the event. We can choose music that fits the crowd, or clients are welcome to provide their own playlist.

The PEI International Shellfish Festival is always a highlight for us. There’s something special about the combination of a big stage, a great crowd and the overall party atmosphere. We’ve been fortunate to perform there multiple times, and what really stands out is the camaraderie among the musicians, production crew, staff and everyone involved in the event. It’s one of those gigs that’s simply a lot of fun to be part of.

We love events where the crowd wants to be part of the night. Weddings, corporate events, festivals and packed pub nights all have a different feel, but our favourite shows are the ones where we can read the room, interact with the crowd and adjust the music as the night unfolds.

Don Bowers and Tim MacPherson have been performing together for more than 30 years, with well over 2,500 live performances together. Along the way, they have shared the stage with Canadian acts including Platinum Blonde, David Wilcox, Gowan, Jeff Healey and Wide Mouth Mason.

Vintage has made multiple appearances at the PEI International Shellfish Festival, including performances alongside longtime Maritime favourites Signal Hill, and has performed at nearly every live music venue on Prince Edward Island.

Over the years, Vintage has also been fortunate to build one of the Island's larger and most loyal local band followings. Today, Vintage performs as both the Vintage 2.0 acoustic duo and Vintage 4.0 full band, bringing that experience to weddings, festivals, corporate events, private functions, pubs and special events throughout PEI and the Maritimes.

That's a dangerous question for a band whose set can jump from Fleetwood Mac to The Tragically Hip, Stevie Wonder, Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Luke Combs and Dua Lipa. We're influenced by great songs more than any one artist or genre. As for the greatest song of all time, ask the four of us, and you'll probably get four different answers!!!

Setup time depends on the event and which version of Vintage you book. Vintage 2.0 can usually be set up in about an hour, while Vintage 4.0 typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours for full sound, lighting, and stage setup.

Our typical booking is three 45-50 minute sets over approximately three hours, with breaks between sets. We’re also happy to adapt the performance schedule to suit the event, and regularly play different formats and set lengths.

Absolutely. We love playing outdoor events. We require a safe, level performance area, access to power and adequate overhead protection from rain and weather for the performers and equipment. For outdoor events, we’re happy to work with you in advance to ensure the setup works well.

Absolutely. We have a large repertoire spanning several decades and genres, and clients are welcome to let us know their favourites, must-plays and anything they would prefer us to avoid. We usually build the actual sets ourselves so we can read the crowd and keep the night moving. If there is a special song you would like us to learn for the event, just ask and we’ll let you know if it’s something we can accommodate.

Whether it’s the duo or full band, we try to make the audience feel like they’re part of the night rather than simply watching a performance.
