Soulful Sessions by Vanessa Jay Mulder Elegant Soul, Jazz & R&B for Luxury Weddings and Exclusive Events

We require a suitable performance area with sufficient space for the selected line-up, allowing all musicians to perform comfortably and safely.
Easy access for loading and unloading equipment is appreciated, preferably through an entrance close to the performance area.
Specific technical requirements can be discussed in advance and adapted to the venue and event setup.

We would appreciate details about the venue's location, performance area dimensions, stage setup, and available sound and power facilities.
Information about equipment access, loading and unloading arrangements, and any venue-specific restrictions would also be helpful for planning a smooth setup.

Yes, professional sound and lighting equipment can be arranged upon request, subject to an additional fee depending on the venue, event requirements, and selected line-up.

We are happy to discuss the technical setup in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Yes, we can provide a carefully curated Spotify playlist to complement the atmosphere of your event, with background music before, between, and after our live sets.

Please note that this is a playlist service rather than a professional DJ performance.

The best gig was at a Pavarotti & Friends concert in Modena, Italy, as a background singer for the Italian artist Zucchero.

We love events where music becomes part of the atmosphere and creates a genuine connection with the guests. From elegant, intimate receptions to lively celebrations, we enjoy adapting our performance to the mood and energy of each occasion.

I've been on stages for as long as I can remember. I first caught the gigging bug while doing background singing and dancing for the Dutch group The Timebandits in the late eighties.

I have many favourite artists, from Lauryn Hill to Anita Baker, Erykah Badu, and Chaka Khan. Every Stevie Wonder song is definitely on that list of best songs of all time. In fact, we've got a couple of his songs on our playlist

Yes! Led by Vanessa Jay Mulder, whose international career includes collaborations with Zucchero and Raf and performances at Pavarotti & Friends, Soulful Sessions brings a wealth of experience to the stage. Our international repertoire and multilingual background make us particularly comfortable performing for guests from different countries and cultures.

We typically arrive approximately 2 hours before the performance to allow sufficient time for setup and soundcheck.

Our standard performances consist of either two 45-minute sets or two 60-minute sets, depending on the event's requirements.

Setup times and performance schedules can be adjusted to suit the venue, selected line-up, and event programme.

Absolutely! We are happy to perform outdoors, provided there is a suitable, flat and stable performance area, adequate shade or weather protection, and a safe power supply nearby.

For the safety of our musicians and equipment, a covered alternative should be available in case of rain or adverse weather conditions.

Absolutely! We love creating a musical experience that reflects the atmosphere and personality of each event.

Clients are welcome to select their favourite songs from our repertoire or leave the musical selection to us.

We can also prepare up to two special song requests outside our existing repertoire, provided they are agreed upon in advance and suitable for our musical arrangements.

Our goal is to combine personalisation with the natural flow and artistic character of a live performance.

Warm, classy, and full of groove!

Our clients often appreciate the soulful atmosphere, genuine connection with the audience, and the balance between elegance and infectious energy that we bring to every performance.

Absolutely! We offer flexible formations, from an intimate acoustic duo to a trio or full band. Whether you're looking for elegant background music during cocktails or an energetic live performance for your celebration, we can tailor the musical experience to suit each moment.
