If it's a venue (club / bar) then I would expect good sound equipment which must include monitor speakers in the DJ area. If the gig is outdoors then I expect good coverage / protection of DJ area, protection from the elements.

None really, other than directions, venue capacity and times.

This depends on the booking. For club and venue bookings I expect a well facilitated DJ both whIch must contain at least one monitor speaker at ear level, two is always better. For outside gigs and parties sound and light equipment is hired if not already available. DJ equipment I bring myself.

My best gig? (the one which created the most nerves) was as a warm up for the legendary DJ/Producer Laurent Garnier. This was in 2009 with a crowd of 18,000. It was spectacular and the crowd were very ready to party, and we did! Then I have had small sets with 500 people that have been very intimate and very progressive.

My favourite type of event is anywhere the people get it. The job of a DJ is to create a vibe. Getting people to follow you. Once you have that sorted, then together the vibe builds. It's all about the relationship between the DJ and the dancefloor, nothing else matters!

I started in 1987 and still going strong. I had always wanted to be a DJ after watching a DMC championship as a very young child., working with top local DJs and the legendary Trevor Fung.

ahhh impossible questions.... music for me comes in phases, one year I could be really attached to one genre and the next, not enjoy that genre at all personally. Everything cycles for my own personal studio shows, this is of course different when working for a client.
The greatest song of all time.... maybe a Fleetwood Mac song, maybe The Who, Pink Floyd or something from Motown....?

I typically arrive a few hours before my show, I like to get a feeling of the venue, the people and the vibe. it gives me a great standing on where my show starts. Nothing is planned music wise, I come with as much music as possible and "go with the flow" as they say.
Arriving early also gives time to sound check and ensure all possible measures are taken to have a flawless performance.

Well thats a hard question to answer, if you are simply humble in what you do. So let me give just one really lovely comment I received from a sound engineer from a gig in Riga...
I was asked to be the sole performer for the Positivus Festival after party. The sound engineer who works with 50Cent said afterwards, that "my performances changes the game for DJs in Latvia". A really lovely comment made after a 9 hour gig.
