About / Biography

Great songs. Great energy. A great time.

The Wanderers are a four-piece party band based in California’s South Bay, bringing together classic rock, feel-good pop, and crowd-pleasing favorites from the ’60s through today. Our goal is simple: get people singing along, hit the dance floor, and make every event memorable.

With dynamic male and female lead vocals, rich harmonies, and a versatile lineup of guitar, violin, keyboards, bass, and drums, we deliver a full, engaging sound that appeals to a wide range of audiences. Our repertoire blends classic rock anthems, upbeat pop hits, roots-rock favorites, and danceable sing-alongs.

We perform at corporate events, private parties, weddings, wineries, festivals, and community concerts. Whether you want laid-back live music for a gathering or an energetic dance party, we tailor our performance to fit your event and audience.

We also provide professional sound and lighting, along with setup and teardown, for a complete, hassle-free entertainment experience.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We need a level performance area with enough room for our four-piece band, instruments, and sound equipment. Access to standard electrical outlets near the performance area is required. Convenient load-in access and nearby parking for unloading equipment are appreciated. Space and power needs may vary depending on the venue and event setup.

What information do you require about a venue?

Please share the venue address, event schedule, performance location, available stage or floor space, and load-in instructions. We also need to know whether the event is indoors or outdoors, whether power is available near the stage, and if the venue has sound restrictions or a sound limiter. For outdoor events, please let us know what weather protection is provided.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes! We can provide a complete live music setup, including our own PA system, stage monitoring, and lighting. We handle our own setup and teardown, helping make the entertainment side of your event simple and hassle-free. Specific production requirements can be discussed when booking.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes! We can play recorded music through our sound system before the performance and during set breaks. We can provide suitable background or party music to keep the atmosphere going while the band takes a break. Let us know if you have particular music preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of our favorite gigs is First Friday at The Post in Los Altos, where we've been the house band for the past five years. We've built a great connection with the local residents and developed a loyal following that comes back to see us. It's rewarding to see familiar faces singing, dancing, and enjoying the music month after month. That relationship has also opened the door to many other opportunities in the community. It's a great reminder that the best gigs aren't necessarily the biggest ones, but the ones where you become part of the community.

What's your favourite type of event?

We love events where we can connect with the audience and create an atmosphere that brings people together. Community concerts are especially rewarding because you get to build relationships with the crowd over time, just as we've done during our five years at The Post in Los Altos. We also love corporate parties and private celebrations where people sing along, hit the dance floor, and have a great time. Whatever the occasion, our goal is to make it an event people remember.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

The Wanderers are an established South Bay band with years of experience performing at community concerts, festivals, wineries, corporate events, and private parties. We've built lasting relationships with venues and event organizers, including our five-year residency at The Post in Los Altos. We're comfortable performing for a wide range of audiences and pride ourselves on being professional, adaptable, and easy to work with. With male and female lead vocals, a versatile repertoire, and our own sound and lighting equipment, we can deliver a complete live music experience tailored to the event.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Our musical influences span generations of classic rock and pop, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Fleetwood Mac. We love great songs with memorable melodies, infectious rhythms, and choruses that get everyone singing. Choosing one favorite artist or the greatest song of all time is nearly impossible, but for us, a truly great song is one that brings people together and gets the whole crowd singing along.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We typically arrive 1.5 to 2 hours before showtime to set up and soundcheck. Performance schedules are flexible, with sets arranged to suit the event, commonly two 60-minute sets or three 45-minute sets. We coordinate break times and the overall schedule with the organizer in advance to keep the event running smoothly.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Absolutely! We regularly perform at outdoor concerts, festivals, wineries, and private events. We need a level, stable performance area, access to suitable electrical power, and adequate shade or weather protection for the band and equipment. For outdoor bookings, we ask that the organizer provide a covered performance area and a plan for protecting equipment from rain or other unsafe weather conditions.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We have an extensive repertoire of classic rock, pop, and feel-good favorites, and we're happy to tailor our setlists to suit the event and audience. Clients can share favorite songs, request selections from our repertoire, or leave the choices to us. We do our best to accommodate special requests submitted in advance, although learning new songs depends on the song and our availability.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

We're known for our engaging performances, crowd-friendly song selection, and ability to get people singing along and dancing. Clients appreciate that we're professional, easy to work with, and adaptable to different venues and audiences. We aim to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere that makes people want to stay, join in, and remember the event.
