Wired & Wild Photography is a Huddersfield-based photography business founded by Becki, specialising in pet photography, family portraits, headshots, and event coverage across West Yorkshire and beyond.

Every session is on location. Just honest, joyful photography that actually looks and feels like the people and animals in front of the lens.

Pets and animals
Candid, personality-led sessions for dogs, cats, horses and more. Reactive animals welcome. Leads can stay on throughout. Every session goes at the animal's pace.

Families and couples
Relaxed outdoor portrait sessions that capture real moments rather than posed ones. Toddler mum and dog mum - no amount of chaos is a problem.

Practical Info

What information do you require about a venue?

A full address and any access instructions for the day. It would also be helpful to know the rough layout of the event space, any areas that are off limits to photography, and whether there is a schedule or running order I can work from. If there are specific people, moments or areas that are a priority to capture, the more detail the better.

What do you need from the venue on the day (space, power, access, parking)?

One parking space close to the venue entrance if possible. I work entirely with natural, on-camera flash and available light so no power is required. Early access to the venue before guests arrive is helpful so I can familiarise myself with the space and identify the best angles and locations before the event begins.

How long do you need to set up and pack down?

Approximately 15 to 20 minutes to set up and 10 minutes to pack down.

Do you have public liability insurance and any relevant certificates?

Yes, I hold public liability insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Photographing Huddersfeast for Huddersfield BID was a real highlight. It was my largest event to date - thousands of people, incredible food and drink stalls, live music, circus skills, and an atmosphere that was completely electric. Being trusted to capture something on that scale for such a well known local event was a genuinely proud moment and the kind of shoot that reminded me exactly why I do this.

What's your favourite type of event?

The ones full of joy and laughter. Family gatherings, birthday celebrations, community events - anywhere that people are genuinely happy to be together. There's something about photographing people who are completely in the moment with the people they love that produces the most natural, real images. You can't manufacture that energy and you can't fake it in editing. I get to be there and capture it.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I launched Wired & Wild Photography in 2026 after a career in freelance marketing and content creation. I've always had a camera in my hand but making it a business was the leap I'd been building towards for years. Since launching I've shot a range of gigs, including Huddersfeast for Huddersfield BID, family, pets, community events, business launches, and celebrations of all sizes across West Yorkshire.

What makes you different from others offering something similar?

I come with a marketing background which means I understand what event photography actually needs to do - not just what looks good on the night, but what works for social media, press, websites, and future marketing. I also shoot with genuine warmth and an eye for the unscripted moments that tell the real story of a day. And I turn up on time, communicate clearly, and deliver on what I promise. Which apparently still counts as a differentiator.

Service Info

Can what you offer be tailored to the event or the audience?

Absolutely. Every event is different and I always work with the client beforehand to understand what matters most to them - whether that's key people to capture, specific moments that can't be missed, a particular style or feel for the images, or a focus on certain areas of the event. I'm flexible, communicative, and happy to shape the coverage around whatever makes the day special.

What is included in your standard service or package?

All packages include professionally edited digital images delivered via a private online gallery within 7 working days. Event packages range from 3 hours with 50 edited images right up to a full day with 200 edited images. Same day selects can be delivered within 24 hours for an additional fee. Additional edited images beyond the package allowance are available at £8 each. Custom packages and payment plans are available on request. I offer packages for families, pets & small businesses.

How far in advance should customers book you?

As early as possible for larger events - popular dates, particularly in summer and autumn, can book up quickly. That said it is always worth getting in touch even at short notice as I will always do my best to accommodate. For smaller events a few weeks notice is usually fine. For larger full day events I'd recommend at least 4 to 6 weeks where possible.

How do previous clients most commonly describe working with you?

Relaxed, easy to have around, and genuinely invested in getting it right. Clients often say they felt completely at ease having me there - that I blended into the background while still capturing everything that mattered. Several have mentioned being surprised by how many unscripted moments I managed to catch that they hadn't even noticed happening on the day.
