Review Centre: Sound Systems / PA Systems

"I engaged GK Electronics to run an international psychotherapy conference for me in June 2023 at Polhawn Fort in Cornwall, and from the very first conversation with Gary, I was sure they were the right team/company for the job. Gary was very clear in talking me through all the various options, and listening to my requirements and needs. I explained that as a therapist, academic and event planner I had no knowledge of anything technical and from that point on Gary made sure he spoke about the technical aspects in a way I would understand and be able to follow. The 3 day event was very complex, not least because it involved a range of speakers, using different platforms and formats for their presentations, a number of workshops we needed specialist audio visuals for, and a marquee where the keynote lectures would take place. We also needed to film the event to make CPD packages to sell after the conference and so the weather was a big factor in deciding where the main programme would take place. If we filmed inside the fort it would be a very different venue to prepare for with low vaulted ceilings and pillars to work around. The marquee was easier but if it rained it would have made filming difficult, so the decision on which space to stage the event in needed to be last minute. Gary and his team member Nick were so accommodating for this, and planned for every eventuality. The venue was on a peninsular cliff edge and so required them to transport all the equipment to the bottom lawn to be set up either in the main fort or the marquee. Fortunately the weather was favourable and so we did the entire conference in the marquee, but this required them to set up screens, a stage, lighting and sound equipment. They had a complete deck of controls and used this skilfully across the weekend to make sure the sound was always at an optimum level and working well. They were so patient and considerate of the needs of the conference to meet a range of delegates with disabilities, such as hearing impairments, and sight issues. Both Gary and Nick paid great attention to detail, and helped each of the speakers feel safe and secure in delivering their presentations, because of their expertise and advance planning. This in turn made me feel confident and secure in the knowledge that I had amazing technical support available 24/7 throughout the event. I could not have pulled off this event without the skills and support of GK Electronics and am so grateful to both Gary and Nick for their ability to be flexible, technically amazing and relaxed and easy going too. I would recommend them 100% and will certainly be using them again in future. Wonderful people and a great package of expertise and friendly support. "

Lors de la livraison, la structure a été rapidement désinfectée et prête à l'emploi ; les enfants se sont follement amusés ! "Kelly This is coming from an aunt/planner's perspective. We appreciate all Kelsey contributed to our day. Our family make-up consists of different faiths (including some of no faith) and Kelsey made it possible for everyone of us to be comfortable & happy with the ceremony. I wish there was more than 5 stars to give Kelsey!!!! I always got immediate responses from Kelsey, which always gave me a sense of comfort knowing he was reliable and conscientious. Just a few weeks before the wedding we asked if Kelsey knew of a DJ and he said he could provide that service as well. As the planner I was relieved to find someone but wondered about an officiant/DJ combination. It all turned out perfect. He was absolutely professional. I have been to receptions where the DJ ends up being the center of the attention and that just was not the case with Kelsey - he was tucked away with his professional gear - made wonderful announcements, took requests & and had a fantastic selection of music range that pleased our young 20's crowd all the way to the classics. Take my advice & use Kelsey for both services. Like I said, I wish I could give him 10 Stars for every category!!!!! Oh one other thing that just went above & beyond .... His assistants were amazing , from helping me set up to taking video. We had hired a photographer but not a videographer. We were so pleased when the next morning we received an email with links to the ceremony, first dances, etc!!!! Honestly he & his crew were angels Heaven sent !!!!!"

"My small business was invited to set up a vendor booth at a street festival, and I simply would not have been able to have a proper set up without Omega Design Events. As a Montreal resident, I don't have the space to own several tables, a tent, and other necessary accessories to set such a booth up. Omega Design Events had everything I needed -- and more! I rented a couple tables, a canopy tent, and a popcorn machine (something I only realized I wanted when I saw they had it!). Communication was clear and quick, and all of the products were of top quality. The popcorn machine was such a hit with the kids! Getting and returning the items was incredibly convenient, making my life so much easier. I'm almost excited for my next event, so that I can use Omega Design Events again! Couldn't recommend them enough."
