I've very much enjoyed Lucienne's events in several bars, restaurants and most recently at Salts Mill, Saltaire. Very professional. Highly recommended. "

"If Dr. John and Tom Waits leave you wanting more, lend your ear to one-of-a-kind Aussie artist Pugsley Buzzard, who assimilates their piano playing, singing and songwriting style into his own blues-jazz musical distillation. On this, his fourth solo CD since 2007’s Hammer These Tongs, Buzzard delivers an all-original set recorded in New Orleans, Melbourne and the Blue Mountains. The Aussie backing musicians are so hip to Buzzard’s swampy Crescent City-influenced grooves that it’s difficult to tell which tracks were recorded where. Complementing the Big Easy contingent of tenor and baritone saxophonist Jimmie Carpenter, trumpeter Antonio Gambrell, trombonist Craig Klein, double bassist Nathan Lambertson, guitarist John Fohl, drummer Charles Brewer and singer Irene Sage, is an equally talented band of top local players. The opening bars of the lead-in blues mambo instrumental ‘Cigarstore Indian’, on which Buzzard’s commanding piano echoes Professor Longhair, James Booker and Allen Toussaint all rolled into one, promises a bourbon-drenched musical trip to follow. Buzzard doesn’t disappoint, his gravelly Joe Cocker-by-way-of-Coco Robicheaux vocals and pulsating piano serving up a solid mix of New Orleans R&B from the Fats Domino styled ‘Dirty Kings’ and the inventive minor-key rave-up ‘Gumbo Boogie’, to the gris-gris-soaked, Night Tripper hoodoo funk of ‘Po’ Boy’, ‘Fire In The Hole’ and ‘Mischief’. The Dixieland flavoured ‘Sin City Lights’ gives way to ‘Salamanca Blues’ a solo instrumental displaying Buzzard’s mastery of stride piano. " We received thousand compliments for the choice of band from our guests, Nalìs were wonderful. From the first meeting Annalisa made us feel as if she were only following our wedding, available whenever we had questions, a truly professional, delicate and delightful person. The songs were all beautiful, masterfully performed, they helped us with the music of the ceremony, then they covered the aperitif and after dinner. They prepared two songs especially for us, for the first dance and for the cutting of the cake. We danced between dinner and cutting the cake, even my 85 and 95 year old grandmothers jumped on the floor for a dance! Thanks guys, it was perfect!!"

"my name is Nasuree Van Gelder,I started Playing Piano at the Age of 6 year, I played at Flea markets and downtown St. Petersburg Playing for TIPS, after 2 years of playing piano, I started playing guitar, witch has become my passion, my dad has a whole collection of vinyl albums from the 60s 70s,80s 90s and 2000,my passion grew as I listened with him to his albums, from Chubby Checker(the twist)Chuck Berry to Metallica and Motley Crew, so what i Like Best is Ronny James Dio from Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne, Rolling Stones, and not forgetting Rory Gallagher one of the best blues and Rock musicians so 2 years ago I started My Band the Nasuree Van Gelder Band, and we have been playing in local Venues, I also played with some Local Bands ,like if they saw me they called me on Stage, my most favorite local bands are Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio,Stormbringer ,Big Brother Band and More is More, our band exist out of 4 members, my self Nasuree Van Gelder lead vocals and Guitar, Mike Martin Bass guitar, Josiah Selby Drums, and Sid Wright drums and Keyboard the people who have seen us play loved it and Venues we played hired us back. "If you walked into The Pocket blindfolded last week you might have thought Tom Jones had dropped by to front this power trio. But there's no mistaking why they call Stephen Bailey 'The Wailer', as he fills the room with deep guttural blues you could be back in 50's Mississippi. With a rhythm section tighter than a bungee jumper's harness and keyboard skills that could give Jools Holland a run for his money, these guys mean business!
