Review Centre: Ventriloquists

"I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Inuvik Fire Department to thank Mark Crocker for making the trip north of the 60th parallel. His performance at the annual firefighters ball was outstanding, his ability to quickly learn certain aspects of the individuals attending and then use it as part of his comedy routine thoroughly fascinated the crowd and made the act that much more personal. He left the stage to a resounding standing ovation and our community is still reminiscing over his performance. The following morning, Mark was asked to do a show for the children of Inuvik, to which he quickly changed gears and captured not only their attention but their imaginations; many children after the show mentioned that Chester was in fact real and no matter how much you tried convincing them otherwise their impression remained unchanged. I was able to see Mark perform many years ago at the Ontario Association of Fire Chief’s conference and he made a large enough impression on me at the time that I had him perform for our community here in Inuvik. I was not disappointed, he was everything that I remembered and then some. I highly recommend getting Mark to perform at your function; his unique form of comedy will definitely add to your event."

"Doug Mickan is AMAZING! Doug had visited our Church in June, after performing at 2 local libraries earlier that day. He provided such quality Christian entertainment that evening that we booked him for our BIG outreach event of the year...FAMILY FUN DAY. Doug not only ministered that morning to our entire Church through worship and his gift of ventriloquism, but then stayed to be the main attraction at Family Fun Day that afternoon. We would highly recommend Doug Mickan to any organization or ministry. 100%"

"Mark entertained a group of Fire Alarm Instructors and had them all in stitches by the end of the evening. He was a pleasure to work with and hilarious to watch. "Saw him recently at a 5 year old's birthday party. A natural entertainer who kept a room full of kids, and their parents, in stitches for the best part of an hour. A well as being a decent close-up magician, and a great ventriloquist he is also a genuinely funny chap. Great fun."

"New Year's eve was a great success all owed to Mark & Chester. We had nothing but compliments about the show and we are still getting calls about the great evening. Marks stand-up act has something for everybody. He is comfortable talking about any subject, and prefers to mix his styles. Observational humour, straight joke telling, one liners, insights and stories based on both fantasy and reality all have a place in the show. The audience is also one of Mark & Chester’s favourite tools to use while on stage. They have audiences’ full attention at all times and everyone falls in love with Chester and they wish they could entertain the whole evening. We are looking to have Mark & Chester back with us for another event. Thank you Mark and Chester for a memorable evening."

"The feedback was more than positive. Everyone loved your act and couldn't stop talking about it the next day. In the thank you's at the end, all the rinks specifically mentioned how much they enjoyed the entertainment. They worried about one thing though - all the ladies hosting the event in the future are wondering what they're going to do for the Monday night entertainment because they know they can't top it - chalk one up for Parry Sound!"

"With respect to this entertainment, Mark was unbelievable. He was the type of performer that I had never seen before and I have seen my share. He was very professional, very personable and nice to boot! He does stuff that you won't ever know how he does it! Really! His show had the group laughing and in fact we still talk about. I hired him for the company Xmas party and we had about 100 there. This was corporate event and Mark was very good not to go where he shouldn't with respect to material based on this group of professionals. Bad language didn't even exist in his show!"
