The Ron Smolen Big Band / Orchestra
"Wedding October 14 2023 - University Club - Chicago, IL
Hi Ron,
I've been meaning to shoot you an email.
Thank you guys so much, we had such a wonderful time and were so happy and impressed with the music. With everything going on, there were 2 things about the wedding that made it stand out: the food and the band. Our guests loved the music and it was everything that we could have ever wanted and more.
I really meant what I said about how cool it is that you all play this music and hopefully more people my age appreciate the work that you all do. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. We visit Chicago pretty often so we'll keep tabs on when you play and will come say hello sometime soon.
Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!
-Ryan & Angela"
Texas Gypsies
"In a word... FABULOUS! These guys gave us just the sound we needed for our fun Prohibition-theme wedding. It is now two weeks later, and all we keep hearing is "Man, that band was fantastic!" They are worth the asking price (which is very reasonable to begin with!) Steve Curry is a great guy and very easy to deal with. I would recommend them without any reservations."
Mary Jane Tribute Band
"selected the Premium Sound Band to play at my 70's/80's part last year, and they were fantastic! Travis, the leader of the band, started on time, and he had his band dress the theme. It goes without saying that their sound and musicianship was second to none. The private party was filled with dancing and fun! Travis did an excellent job in music selection and instrumental composition of band. In a few weeks, I will host a 2nd annual 70's/80's party, and Travis with the Premium Sound Band will bring the funk! I can't wait to see and dance to his Rick James covers!"
The Rick Levine Band
"Fantastic Band! Rick is easy to work, dance floor was full all night long. Guests are still talking about how the Rick Levine Band helped make my event a success! Thanks."

"All we can say is Wow! Jay and his crew were amaaaaaazing! Truly made the night so memorable and fun. We couldn't be happier. From the minute they got to our house until they packed up their last instrument, they were nothing but professional, polite, respectful and friendly. And let's talk about how talented and entertaining they were! Even our neighbors said that they sat in their driveway and enjoyed the sounds of the evening. They truly ""brought the house down"" and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative. We thanked Jay, and Rob's in touch w him about Venmo-ing, what we hope is a generous tip for him and his band. Monica, you too have been nothing but so helpful and gracious. It takes a village and we are so grateful for our fantastic village of vendors such as you and Jay. Thanks again for everything!!

Andrew Thielen Big Band
"WE were so glad we found Andrew Thielen Big Band. They are a real band that has been together for over twenty years perfecting their music, showmanship and dazzling variety of music that kept our dance floor jammed. WE almost got swayed into one of these chain bands called Empire something where they throw together bands for one night until we figured out you cannot be a 3 piece band one week and a 12 piece band the next. WE wanted a real band where the band leader has had repeat performances for the most discriminating buyers for years. Every age, everyones taste in music and our twenty something wedding party had the time of our life. Call them now for sensational singers, instrumentalists and organization."
