Calypso bands in Phoenix, Arizona, United States bring the vocal side of Caribbean music: lyric-driven songs, witty storytelling and call-and-response choruses that pull guests into the performance. A typical local booking is a singer-led group with guitar, bass and percussion, with larger lineups adding brass or steel pan for a fuller island sound.
Ask each act what lineup the quote covers and whether they bring their own PA, since amplification for a full band needs more power and floor space than an acoustic trio. For outdoor events, confirm cover and power requirements before the date is fixed, and check how much setup and soundcheck time the band needs so percussion and brass are ready before guests arrive.
Agree the running order early. A relaxed acoustic calypso set works well while guests eat, with the soca and party numbers saved for the dance floor later in the evening. Share any must-play songs in advance, as lyric-led acts often prepare requests specially, and decide whether you want participation moments such as limbo or singalong sections built into the set.
Rates for a vocal Caribbean act in Phoenix run from $170 for a compact acoustic lineup to $1,200+ for a larger band with brass booked for a full evening, with most bookings around $800. Quotes depend on how many performers are on stage and how long they play, and peak summer weekends and carnival dates book up earliest.
The average price for Calypso Bands available in Phoenix, Arizona, United States is $800 (USD). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Chris Arpad Solo Steel Drum Entertainment
"Terrific and magical
Having Chris come to my cousin's birthday was one of the best decisions I have made. My family thought he was absolutely perfect and loved his music. My cousin was happily surprised and was thankful for his attentiveness. He arrived promptly, set up, and played for the agreed amount of time. What I found so endearing is that he spoke to my cousin to get an idea of what songs she would like to hear. My cousin has a difficult time speaking due to her brain cancer, but Chris was very kind and took the time to understand her.
I would definitely keep him in mind for future events."

Oh What a Band!!
We hired Dylan’s Steel Band for a Jamaican themed anniversary party. Not only did they arrive early to set up, they were very professional, friendly and accommodating. Not to mention SUPER talented! We totally look forward to hiring them again in the future and recommend to all of our family and friends. Working with them was such a nice experience. Highly recommend
