"Silas, as DJ, was responsible for all audio during the day where a conference and later a workshop was held. Energetic background music to keep the mood of the attendees high, intro- and outrosongs for different speakers and spontaneous musical decisions was all handled smoothly by Silas.
During the later hours of the event Silas played his saxophone whilst DJ'ing. Starting of with lounge music to accompany mingle and smalltalk before bringing up the energy with international hits. "When Richard Ellis Hawley came out to New Zealand to visit Family and friends I took the opportunity to ask Richard if he would come and play the piano at the local rest home that I was doing voluntary work and Richard came and played to the residents for a couple of hours. Richard played a variety of songs from the era that the residents grew up with they loved him playing it was just wonderful it bought back memories to the residents and put a smile on their faces in fact they didn't want Richard to finish. Also I asked Richard for a CD he made of all his friends favourite songs including mine Unforgettable which was posted over to me in New Zealand where I live and I play it to my friends. Richard is a very gifted and talented musician would recommend him for all occasions."
