Country Singers for Hire in Voss

Hire Country Singers in Voss, Hordaland, Norway

Booking a solo country act is mostly a question of matching the room to the sound. A singer with an acoustic guitar suits a function room, a marquee or a back bar without any extra equipment, while larger halls and outdoor stages need a bigger PA and sometimes a second musician to fill the space.

Sound, Space and Setup

Ask what the venue provides before you book. Some rooms have a house PA the artist can plug into, others have a sound limiter that cuts the power if the volume goes over a set level, which matters more with a full backing track than with a voice and guitar. A solo performer needs a couple of square metres, a power socket within reach and around 30 to 45 minutes to set up and soundcheck. Check parking and the load-in route as well, since a guitar, a PA and speaker stands take two or three trips from the car.

Requests and Song Lists

Most artists send a song list once a booking is confirmed and will build the running order around it. If you want a particular song for a first dance, a birthday or an anniversary, allow three or four weeks so it can be learned and rehearsed properly; some charge a small preparation fee for anything well outside their usual repertoire. It is also worth agreeing what happens between sets, as most performers can leave background music playing so the room never falls silent.

What a Country Singer Costs in Voss

Fees for a solo country act in Voss range from kr1,000 to kr10,000+, with most bookings around kr3,550. Ask what the quote includes: travel, equipment, setup and soundcheck time, and how long the performance itself runs. Anything beyond the agreed finish time is usually charged as overtime, and most artists take a deposit to hold the date with the balance due on or before the day.
