Booking an event DJ in Caen, Normandy, France usually starts with a short brief: date, venue, guest numbers and the kind of night you want. Quotes tend to come back within a day or two, and most DJs will offer a call to run through the plan before you confirm. The strongest candidates ask as many questions as they answer, from timings to what the room is like.
Most setups need a table or booth space near a power supply and 60 to 90 minutes to load in and sound-check before guests arrive. Tell the DJ about stairs, long carry routes or upstairs function rooms when you enquire, since they move heavy speakers and stands. Some venues fit sound limiters that cut power when volume crosses a set threshold; a DJ who knows this in advance can configure their rig to stay under it. Outdoor receptions and marquee events need dry, covered ground and a reliable power source, so agree those details with the venue early.
A strong event DJ builds the night around your brief rather than a fixed routine. Share a shortlist of must-play tracks, anything to avoid, and the shape of the evening, from arrival music through dinner to the main dance set. Decide in advance whether guests can request songs on the night, and mention any themed or multilingual sets you need so the DJ can prepare the right library. Most are happy to source specific tracks ahead of the event if given notice.
Most DJs in Caen quote per event rather than per hour, with evening bookings running from €95 to €1,200+ and typical spends around €360. Hourly figures usually only appear for short add-on slots or extra time at the end of the night. When comparing quotes, check what is included: sound equipment, lighting, setup time and travel are normally built in, while uplighting, an extended set or a separate system for a second room adds to the fee. December dates and peak-season weekends are the first to go, so confirm your date as soon as the venue is settled.
The average price for Event DJs available in Caen, Normandy, France is €360 (EUR). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Halcyon Nights - UK Wedding DJ in France
"The best and easiest experience ever! From the beginning Kristan was so welcoming in his contact and then video chat. He explained everything from the beginning and made the whole process stress free. He was very professional and knew everything he could do to make the day better for us. On the day he was on time and super organised. The equipment he had was amazing and provided a great experience for our guests. The party was amazing and he included the songs that we had suggested and it was all so much fun. I would highly recommend him, it will be the best decision you make!"
DJ Mel - Melissa
"Mel is so much more than a DJ and offers the complete package for any event. She knew exactly the vibe we wanted from the get go for our wedding and helped out with so many extra details.
I message to ask if she ever played with a Saxophonist before and to my delight she had a contact and brought her over to the island early for our wedding and it was just the icing on the cake!
She kept us updated on the restrictions without us asking and was even there to answer any of my panicked questions the day before that weren’t even related to DJ’ing, I just knew she had the experience to help!
On the day she was so much fun and I think I only left the dance floor for a couple of minutes to get a drink and then was back on it! Everyone has such a great time.
Thank you so much Mel ❤️"
Rezon8 Disco
"We couldn’t have asked for anything better! Carl was the DJ for our wedding on Saturday and had people buzzing on the dance floor from start until finish.
The music was mixed perfectly and he went above and beyond for us by making sure he played all our songs, even ones my brother had produced, which was very special.
Carl was brilliant at communication from start until finish and was so friendly!
So many of our wedding guests mentioned what a fantastic DJ he was. We would highly recommend Carl to anyone!
Thank you for making our evening so perfect!"
Impulse Event
"Amazing renting! Thank you for delivering on time and to be super communicative and responsible. Some other ones have been so straight and not helpful, and you have a human approach and also work with quality. Good job guys!!!"
Dj Nelsim
