Booking an event DJ in Rethymno, Crete, Greece usually starts with a short brief: date, venue, guest numbers and the kind of night you want. Quotes tend to come back within a day or two, and most DJs will offer a call to run through the plan before you confirm. The strongest candidates ask as many questions as they answer, from timings to what the room is like.
Most setups need a table or booth space near a power supply and 60 to 90 minutes to load in and sound-check before guests arrive. Tell the DJ about stairs, long carry routes or upstairs function rooms when you enquire, since they move heavy speakers and stands. Some venues fit sound limiters that cut power when volume crosses a set threshold; a DJ who knows this in advance can configure their rig to stay under it. Outdoor receptions and marquee events need dry, covered ground and a reliable power source, so agree those details with the venue early.
A strong event DJ builds the night around your brief rather than a fixed routine. Share a shortlist of must-play tracks, anything to avoid, and the shape of the evening, from arrival music through dinner to the main dance set. Decide in advance whether guests can request songs on the night, and mention any themed or multilingual sets you need so the DJ can prepare the right library. Most are happy to source specific tracks ahead of the event if given notice.
Most DJs in Rethymno quote per event rather than per hour, with evening bookings running from €95 to €1,250+ and typical spends around €370. Hourly figures usually only appear for short add-on slots or extra time at the end of the night. When comparing quotes, check what is included: sound equipment, lighting, setup time and travel are normally built in, while uplighting, an extended set or a separate system for a second room adds to the fee. December dates and peak-season weekends are the first to go, so confirm your date as soon as the venue is settled.
The average price for Event DJs available in Rethymno, Crete, Greece is €370 (EUR). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.
Marmitas Band
"The best band you could ask for at a wedding. So talented and attentive to the vibe of the party. Would book them again and again and again!"
Make Music Memories
"The dancers and musicians were amazing! Our clients couldn't stop dancing and the energy of the party was unparalleled. The production team were with us every step of the way, from preparation to the end of the event. We will definitely be working with them again!"
Wedding Djs Crete
"10/10! We booked Pantelis with Wedding DJs Crete for our destination wedding in Crete, and he did an excellent job helping bring the entire evening together.
Most importantly, he was someone we could trust. We traveled all the way from Hawaii to get married in Crete, and we are very happy that we chose Pantelis to be part of our wedding
From the beginning, he was easy to communicate with and very accommodating while we planned everything from overseas.
He worked with us on our music preferences and ceremony needs, which made the planning process much easier.
On the wedding day, he handled the sound for the ceremony and reception music. The setup location, speakers, microphone, and lighting, and music all worked exactly as we had hoped, and once the celebration started, we were able to simply enjoy the evening without worrying about any of the technical details.
We had a small and intimate destination wedding, so we wanted the music to feel personal rather than like a generic wedding playlist. Pantelis did a great job working with the songs and styles we provided while keeping the energy of the evening going!
We are very grateful to Pantelis for being part of our wedding and would absolutely recommend Wedding DJs Crete to anyone planning a wedding or private event on the island!"
SoundDesign – Wedding DJ Crete
"“DJ for our Santorini wedding.”
Wow , we found them via their website, their helped us creating unforgettable party for my guests, planning every single moment of the entertainment, they pumped up the mood on our wedding in Santorini island"
Christos Adamidis (Maisha Percussion)
"Incredibly talented and great guy! Christos played percussion alongside our DJ and a saxophonist at our wedding. Despite little prep time and a bespoke playlist from us, Christos’’ percussion was an amazing addition to the DJ and really got the party started - playing alongside a range of music from blues / disco to house music. I also have no doubt Christos would’ve been a great choice to DJ himself alongside his percussion and would definitely recommend for any similar events. He is also a great guy and built a great connection with us and all our guests. Highly recommend!"
Dimitris Vlisidis
"Dimitris you were the best!! thanks for making our day, and also incorporating some polish songs too!"
