Solo guitar works at almost every point of an event, from ceremony music and drinks receptions through to relaxed evening sets. Before requesting quotes, it helps to decide where live music sits in your day: quiet background playing during food, a featured moment such as a first dance, or both. That decision shapes the set list, the equipment a performer brings and the price you are quoted.
A typical booking covers two 45-minute sets or three 40-minute sets with breaks in between, though most performers will adjust timings to fit around speeches, courses and other entertainment. For drinks receptions, many guitarists play longer, lighter sets at background volume; for evening slots, expect shorter and more energetic performances. Agree the running order in advance and decide who will cue the performer on the day, so timing changes reach them quickly.
Indoor setups are simple: a chair, a small clear area and a nearby socket cover most performances. Outdoor ceremonies and garden parties need more thought. Ask whether the performer can bring a battery amplifier or play fully acoustic where there is no power, check noise policies and finish times with your venue before booking an amplified evening set, and make sure there is somewhere dry and shaded for both the performer and the instrument.
Guitar players in Nerja mostly quote per set rather than per hour, starting from about €110 for a single instrumental set, with typical bookings around €350 and singer-guitarists bringing their own PA reaching €1,000+. Longer performances, weekend and peak-season dates, and sets that include vocals all push quotes up. When comparing quotes, check what each includes: amplification, travel and time to learn requested songs are sometimes itemised separately. Booking ceremony and reception music with the same performer often costs less than hiring two separate acts.

Guitarra del Sol
"I hosted a 4 day retreat in Nerja. I booked through Gig Heaven and wow! What a night. The music they provided was incredible!! They are highly professional, communicative and are super talented musicians. It was our last night and it made our trip so special. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire this guy again! Fantastic!"
Antonio Guitarrista
"Antonio came to a party I organised for my brothers 40th birthday party in Spain. We are an Australian family and having the beautiful music for a special dance, drinks and meal made the event really really memorable. Antonio was easy to communicate with, flexible on dates and times, and most importantly a brilliant musician with a lovely presence at the evening. I am sure my family will be talking about that party for many many years to come. Johanna"
Guitar for Wedding, Pablo Alcázar
"Thanks to Pablo we had a beautiful wedding reception and ceremony. Pablo's Spanish guitar performance was intimate and intricate. He's very talented, a real professional for sure. From the first moment we contacted each other he was very nice to work with. He offered his advice and we could make a list of our preferred music. Even more special though, he learned 2 songs he didn't know for us - just so we could walk down the aisle with extra confidence. That was amazing. We're really thankful for that special moment. Thank you for everything Pablo, please make sure to keep doing what you're doing - you're good at it and you make people very happy with your music. We got so many compliments about you afterwards. Take care and hopefully see you one day again! Un abrazo, M&J"
