Christos played percussion alongside our DJ and a saxophonist at our wedding. Despite little prep time and a bespoke playlist from us, Christos’’ percussion was an amazing addition to the DJ and really got the party started - playing alongside a range of music from blues / disco to house music. I also have no doubt Christos would’ve been a great choice to DJ himself alongside his percussion and would definitely recommend for any similar events. He is also a great guy and built a great connection with us and all our guests. Highly recommend!" Frequently asked questions

Pricing for percussionists ranges from R1,800 to R28,000+, with an average of R6,500. Rates depend on the type of percussion, performance duration and the performer's experience. Options range from African djembe and Latin percussion to tabla, cajon and tailored percussive performances.

The percussionists on Gig Heaven include drum kit players, congas and bongos players, djembe specialists, steel pan players, tabla musicians, cajon players, vibraphone players and multi-percussionists. Many are versatile session musicians who can adapt to a wide range of musical styles.

Events that commonly feature percussionists include corporate events, parties, DJ sets needing live percussion, recording sessions, drum circles, team-building workshops and cultural events. Live percussion adds energy, rhythm and a visual element to any performance.

Many percussionists offer interactive drumming workshops where guests participate together, playing rhythms as a group. This is a popular choice for corporate team-building events, school programmes and festival activities. It is a good idea to discuss workshop formats with the percussionist.

Most percussionists bring their own percussion instruments and any stands or accessories needed. For workshops, the percussionist often provides instruments for all participants. It is worth confirming what equipment is included, especially for group workshops.
