They played something for everyone, the music was awesome, they were prompt, great communicators and overall we would love to book them again." Based in Severn, Maryland (12 miles from Baltimore) 18th September 2026 Heather M - Community Party @ Oyster Harbor Beach in Annapolis Md May 2026 Photo of The Rockits The Rockits "Ian P. Woodbury I’ve been serenaded AND stirred by THE ROCKITS twice in 2022, since being introduced to them only recently. I made a pledge to myself, in the mirror, to go and listen to them whenever I need to satisfy my audio addiction for exceptionally performed, hard driving Rock n Roll. As a guy who has been playing guitar, and singing for an audience since 1956, I continuously need to have my appetite satiated with Good Ol’ Rock n Roll. The Rockits satisfy my need quite satisfactorily! Thank You Very Much! The Rockits share the top shelf of the D.C. Area bands, with only a few other bands up there with them. There is no better party band than The Rockits. The band is well-rehearsed, instrumentally and vocally tight, and they really know how to keep the good vibes topped off at FULL, without losing the personal touch with their audience. Everyone in the band is a seasoned musician, sings very well, and harmonizes on key. But…the vocal standout is Robin Brown, the female vocalist. Robin should be known by everyone in the D. C. Metro Area, who enjoys hip Shakin’ Rock n Roll. ROBIN IS THAT GOOD! She commands the stage, like a Queen, but she is never domineering. She does not try to draw undue attention to herself, but knows her position on stage, as an integral part of a smoothly wild ensemble. She shares the M.C. duties with the band’s leader, Peter Grattan, who is a fine drummer, but in The Rockits, he is a triple threat on keyboards, guitar, and vocals. All the instrumentalists are in the top echelon of local talent, each attuned to his role in the overall mix, and they all shine in their spots. If you want a really satisfying Good Time of listening and dancing, there is no better band, who can lift you higher, than The Rockits. Going out to get your Rock n Roll fix with The Rockets is an evening well-spent." They were very helpful with everything we needed and would most definitely book them again for future events. We received alot of positive feedback from all who attended the event with the music! Such a great day and unforgettable experience. She's beautiful, funny, engaging and talented. She put on a great show and it really was the highlight of our party. She looked like Cher, sounded like Cher and her costumes were incredible. She was wonderful to do business with as well. Very professional and accommodating. She worked everything out herself with the DJ so I didn't have to worry about a thing. I really appreciated that because as the hostess I had enough to do. If you're thinking about entertainment for your event, you won't be disappointed if you hire Helene. My entire party has called me to rave about her performance. Thanks so much Helene!!! Kim J. Titusville, NJ" Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (90 miles from Baltimore) Kim J. Frequently asked questions

The average price for pop bands on Gig Heaven is $1,100, with rates from $200 to $3,550+. Cost varies based on the number of band members, set duration and the production level of the performance. Pop bands range from compact line-ups to larger acts with backing vocalists, and bigger ensembles typically command higher fees.

The pop bands for hire play popular music spanning several decades of chart hits, from classic pop through to current releases. Many pop bands cover a wide range of artists and styles, creating setlists designed to appeal to the broadest possible audience.

Hiring pop bands is one of the most versatile entertainment choices for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, proms, festivals and private celebrations. Pop music is universally recognised and appeals to guests of all ages and musical tastes.

Most pop bands perform for two to three hours, divided into sets with short breaks. Pop music sets tend to feature well-known singalong material that keeps the audience engaged throughout the evening. It is worth discussing the event schedule with the band to plan the best set structure.

Many pop bands are flexible and can adjust their setlist to include specific songs or focus on particular decades or styles. Some bands also take guest requests during the performance. Gig Heaven recommends discussing your music preferences with the band when making an enquiry.

Most pop bands are self-contained and bring their own PA system, instruments and basic lighting. For larger venues or outdoor stages, additional sound and staging may be required. It is advisable to confirm all technical details before booking.

Most acts will learn a first dance song given a few weeks' notice, and some include one learned request in the fee. Where a track is hard to reproduce live, the band can play the original recording for the dance and take over for the rest of the evening. Sending the song choice early gives them time to rehearse it properly.

Line-ups commonly run from four to eight players, with the larger ones adding brass, percussion or extra vocals. A smaller act suits a tighter room or a lower budget and still covers the same material. Supplier profiles list the line-up options each act offers.

Sound limiters are common in hotels and smaller function rooms, and experienced acts adjust stage volume and drum setup to work within them. Telling the band the limiter level at the booking stage matters more than the size of the room. Some venues also set a curfew, which affects how the sets are arranged.
