Portable Toilets for Hire in York

Portable toilet hire covers a range of options from standard single units to luxury trailer units with flushing toilets, running water, mirrors, lighting and air fresheners. Premium units provide a comfortable, hygienic experience suitable for formal events.

Popular occasions for hiring portable toilets include outdoor weddings, festivals, garden parties, sports events and any event at a location without sufficient permanent toilet facilities. It is worth calculating requirements based on guest numbers and event duration.

Many toilet hire companies also supply shower trailers and combined toilet and shower units, which suit multi-day festivals, camping events and sites with no permanent facilities. These units normally need running water and a power source, so it is a good idea to confirm what the site can provide before booking. Where neither is available, some companies deliver a water tank and a generator as part of the package.

A common guide is one unit for every 50 to 100 guests at an event lasting a few hours, with more needed for longer events and for events where alcohol is served. Hire companies size the order from the guest count, the running time and whether guests stay on site all day. Most companies will recommend a number from the event details, which is more reliable than estimating from the guest list alone.

Mobile toilet hire for longer events usually includes servicing, where the company returns to empty the tanks and restock supplies such as soap and paper between days or at set intervals. The schedule is agreed in advance and depends on the number of units and how heavily they are used. For events running over several days, check whether servicing is priced into the quote or charged as an extra visit.

Booking as early as possible increases the chance of securing your supplier's availability on your event date, particularly during busy times of the year. However, many suppliers also accept last minute bookings, and we have successfully arranged bookings for clients with just a few hours' notice.

Contact the supplier you are interested in booking by clicking "Contact Now" on their listing. Discuss your requirements using our messaging system or join a video meeting (like a Zoom-call) to speak face-to-face. Once you are ready to confirm your booking, simply ask the supplier to send you a contract, which you can agree to online, or request amendments. Once you agree to the contract you will be asked to pay a 10% booking fee to confirm the booking, with the balance payable directly to the supplier by the due date you've agreed on.
