Photo of Rebel Outlaws Rebel Outlaws "The Rebel Outlaws were absolutely incredible!! We loved every minute of having them at our wedding! Their sound was perfect in our venue and they played all the right songs to keep our guests entertained!" Based in Wichita, Kansas Kaly Photo of Big Time Grain Company Big Time Grain Company "Thank you guys for such great entertainment. I have received so many positive comments about your band and wanted you to know that. Your band went above and beyond to entertain all ages in attendance. You guys kept everything going and the crowd energized. A night to remember for sure!!! You are definitely part of the Heinen Brothers family and we are looking forward to seeing you guys at P&L next month. I will not hesitate recommending you for anyone’s event, should the opportunity present itself." Based in Prairie Village, Kansas Amanda Mueting - Heinen Bros / Nemeha County Fair Photo of Soul Food Band Soul Food Band "These men are the absolute best!! They play old, new and progressive music, R&B, and just an overall great assortment of genre of music" Based in Denver, Colorado Tracy M Mealer-Hernandez - Social Security Administration Photo of Wendy Clark Band Wendy Clark Band "Wendy and her crew are seasoned musicians and engaging performers." Based in Denver, Colorado Luke Schmaltz Photo of Groove 'N Motion Groove 'N Motion "Groove 'N Motion performed for our wedding in August 2021 and they were incredible at every level. GnM had excellent communication, were affordable, were accommodating and understanding, played an amazing and wide-ranging setlist, and rocked with high energy all through the night. Our wedding guests, young and old, have said over and over how much they loved our dance floor and that GnM was the best wedding band they had ever seen. We agree and could not recommend them any higher. Scott, our main point of contact, was very communicative and accommodating, including when we had to reschedule our wedding because of covid. He also had a great ability to give advice and perspective from GnM's significant experience playing weddings and large events while still taking our more specific requests to heart. For example, GnM offered a range of modern and classic songs on a designated setlist but also enabled us to make many of our own requests of favorite songs not on their list. They also allowed us to send family to see them rehearse before we booked them because we at the time lived out of state. And they traveled from Denver to our venue in Salida, CO and were great sports about making the trip. It is important to make clear that GnM is not just a random group of musicians who are occasionally pulled together to play a wedding (like we discovered many commercial wedding bands can be). Groove 'N Motion is a true band with great continuity and a range of talents. It's clear they love playing music together and have fantastic rapport. GnM was amazing during our reception. They have their own sound mixer, who helpfully made sure the music never got too loud for our older guests. They played approx 3.5-4 hours for our reception and kept everyone out on the dance floor. The only problem we had was that so many guests wanted to stay for the music that everyone waited to take the last shuttle home! GnM was also excellent for our ceremony songs (a couple songs for guest seating, processional, and recessional) and provided a nice jazz quartet during our cocktail hour. These guys are talented and have range. Being able to rock a country song that is a family favorite and then soon after play some true funk hits is not something just any band could pull off. GnM did it without any problem. If you want to make sure that you have a wedding band that can perform songs in your setlist for all your guests to enjoy, look no further than Groove 'N Motion. You will not be disappointed." Based in Denver, Colorado Hayden - wedding client Photo of Groove Nation Orchestra Groove Nation Orchestra "Dave and the band were incredible for our wedding. They had the dancefloor packed and jamming the entire time they played. Every song they played sounded great; the overall talent of the band was evident. We would HIGHLY recommend GNO for someone else's wedding, they played a great list and the special dance songs were top notch! Literally dozens of our wedding guests told us that night and the following day how awesome a band they were and how great the party was, and we completely agree! Thanks again to Dave and GNO, you guys helped make our special day even more memorable!" Based in Denver, Colorado Patrick B - Wedding

Frequently asked questions

Pricing for rock bands ranges from $160 to $3,350+, with an average of $900. Rates depend on the number of band members, performance duration and whether the band supplies its own sound and lighting. Rock bands vary from power trios to larger outfits, and the size and production level of the act is the biggest cost factor.

The rock bands for hire cover a broad range of rock music including classic rock, indie rock, alternative, pop rock, hard rock, blues rock and modern rock. Many bands have extensive setlists spanning several decades of rock hits.

Typical bookings for rock bands include weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, festivals, pub and bar gigs and any event where live, guitar-driven music is the focus. Many rock bands can adjust their volume and setlist to suit both intimate venues and larger stages.

Standard performance times for rock bands are two to three hours, typically split into sets with breaks. Rock performances tend to be louder and more energetic than other genres, so it is worth confirming volume levels and any venue restrictions when making an enquiry. Set formats can usually be adjusted to suit the event.

Most rock bands are experienced at adjusting their volume to suit different settings. Many carry equipment that allows them to control sound levels without losing energy. It is a good idea to discuss any venue noise restrictions with the band before booking.

Most rock bands are self-contained and provide their own instruments, amplifiers and PA system. For larger stages or outdoor events, additional sound equipment may be needed. It is advisable to confirm all technical details before booking.
