A guide to booking

Hire Wedding Musicians in France

Wedding musicians in France offer live music for every part of your celebration, from intimate ceremony performances to high-energy reception entertainment. Local performers include solo instrumentalists, acoustic duos, jazz groups, classical ensembles and larger bands, giving you options to match any venue size or musical preference.

Choosing Live Music for Your Wedding

The right musicians depend on your venue, guest numbers and the mood you want at each stage of the day. Acoustic and classical performers work well for ceremonies and drinks receptions, while larger acts with fuller sound suit evening parties. Many wedding performers near you offer multi-part packages, so a single booking can cover several hours across different stages of the celebration. Ask about setup requirements, repertoire flexibility and whether the act provides their own sound equipment.

Photo of Ladies of Jazz and Swing Ladies of Jazz and Swing "Dagmar and her accompanist are the real deal. While deciding who to hire I watched her videos on here performing to larger crowds but we hired her to perform for just nine people prior to a dinner party and they did not disappoint. Dagmar's inimitable sultry vocals as well as her repertoire are perfect for this genre of music and her professional playful nature was felt by everyone. Her piano player was truly transcendent providing intervals of technique and skill you don't often find with accompanist. They also were very accommodating with song selection and timing during the evening. We all loved them!" 1st July 2026 Mark Scofield - Private Party Photo of Owen's Friends Owen's Friends "Overall we had a very good experience in difficult conditions. The caller handled inexperienced participants, hot weather, and minor technical challenges to deliver an enjoyable experience for all, including child-friendly dances. I recommend this band." 14th July 2026 James - Wedding Photo of Saxo DelBueno Saxo DelBueno "OMG! I LOVE him! He is out of this world! I can’t sit still when I hear his music & watch his entertainment! I want him to PERFORM IN ALL OF my PARTIES! Next Saturday August 8th at 7:00 PM it’s my first dinner party but that’s only the beginning! I will make parties just to have him perform! I hope he can come often to Madeira to perform! Afi Kleinman 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻" 3rd August 2026 Afi Kleinman - Private parties! Photo of Midnight Shakers Midnight Shakers "We had the pleasure of listening to Midnight Shakers Musical Duo on our recent birthday/ Wedding Anniversary cruise. They played such an eclectic set of music, at each performance, and each set was unique. Daisy and JJ were extremely personable and interacted with the audience making everyone feel part of the performance. They definitely came across as doing something they love and it wasn't 'just a job'. They made our celebratory cruise so special and we have cherished memories thanks to both Daisy and JJ." 3rd October 2026 Sinéad McCarthy - Celebrity Constellation Photo of Nícolàs “El Rom” Nícolàs “El Rom” "Absolutely fantastic. Right up there with performances we saw in Spain." 4th October 2026 Claudia D - Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch Photo of Double Je Double Je "J'ai vécu un très bon moment lors du concert de Double Je aux pierres blanches (44). Les reprises étaient magnifiques, dans des univers variés. Les musiciens les ont interprétées avec justesse et énergie tout en y mettant leur sensibilité et leur cœur. Merci pour cette belle soirée." 5th October 2026 Marion Guillou - Concert Double Je aux Pierres Blanches - St Jean de Boiseau

Frequently asked questions

The average price for wedding musicians on Gig Heaven is €440, with rates from €140 to €1,500+. Pricing depends on the type of musician, the number of performers and how many parts of the wedding day are covered. All-day packages that span the ceremony, reception and evening entertainment typically offer better value than booking separately for each.

The wedding musicians include a huge range of performers suited to different parts of a wedding day, including string quartets, harpists, pianists, acoustic duos, jazz bands, singers and party bands. Many musicians offer packages covering multiple parts of the day.

Most wedding musicians can perform during the ceremony (processional, signing of documents, recessional), the drinks reception, the wedding meal, and the evening party. Some artists offer all-day packages that cover multiple segments. It is advisable to browse profiles to find musicians who match the style and schedule of your wedding.

Most wedding musicians are self-contained and provide their own instruments and PA system for standard wedding venues. For larger venues, outdoor ceremonies or marquees, additional amplification may be needed. It is a good idea to confirm equipment details with the musician.

The most popular wedding musicians can be booked up many months in advance during wedding season. Gig Heaven recommends securing your preferred artists six to twelve months before the wedding date. Less popular dates or midweek weddings may have more availability at shorter notice.

Many wedding musicians are happy to learn a special song for a key moment such as walking down the aisle or the first dance. It is worth making any song requests well in advance to allow time for preparation and rehearsal.
